Happy Weekend all thanks to all who commented in the weekday thread especially Diane and danny15I am ....depleted! It has been a rough rough time some progress on the DD front. She finally agreed to talk to a counselor! very glad. a mother's words are often wrong! or at least perceived that way. DD made a big decision. It was not easy and there is not a right or wrong. I think it was probably right and I think she will always have some regret because it is not a yes or no thing. def closes a door. hope a new and better one opens for her. I am hoping too that she leaves crisis mode! She is home this weekend for another matter, some stuff she had to do locally, and so it is good to see her in person. I am truly depleted. So I am trying to clean my bedroom. I want a nice bedroom! pretty. clean. not a storage cell. I just threw out a bunch of stuff. no donating, no Good will, just trash. (DD has the car!!) my tooth just broke!! right before my trip. left a message for dentist...no pain at this time. this has been a really really hard week at work too, regardless of DD crisis, and I am just one tired puppy but I think my depleted state will help me toss stuff! I threw away DD schoolwork, Disney stuff, presents that I rec'd that I ever really liked ...hard stuff!

Good afternoon bree--that's great that you're getting rid of stuff--sometimes having life problems reminds you of what's important, and lets you know that the things you're hanging on to are not the most important things. I hope this coming week is better than last week!

I did 50 things … I am struggling with depression this afternoon. Trying to push through but it’s so hard
I checked the clothes in the dryer and had to turn it back on because they were still damp Unload a box and bag from my diding room. Both had been in there for almost two weeks just waitin* to be put away. Put toilet paper in all of my bathrooms. Talked to my sister. Twice. Put away some stuff that was on top of my kicthcen table.

Hi, Bree and Catcats!
Bree, I am so sorry it’s been such a rough week. It sounds like you are reclaiming some peaceful space for yourself in Your bedroom. That’s wonderful. I hope te upcoming week is less eventful and less stressful for you.

My new microwave arrived! I have managed to lug it up the stairs, in the box, because I didn't want to lug a slippery metal microwave up instead. I haven't opened the box yet, but since it's almost time for lunch, I'll have to open it if I want to use it.
And this experience has made me look very closely at the GFCI outlets. I always saw 2 buttons and figured that one button was for for the right side of the outlet and one was for the left. But when I looked carefully at the two little buttons, one says reset and one says test. So, if either side has something plugged in that causes a problem, both sides go out. I had no idea! After the microwave caused the downstairs outlet to be disabled, I pressed "reset" and it didn't reset. So then I pressed "test" and a light came on and said if the light flashes, have the outlet replaced! The light didn't flash, so I pressed reset again, and it reset. I have often had to reset these outlets, especially if a shower causes condensation in the bathroom--but I never noticed that it was always the left hand button--and I never saw the test button go on. I wonder if that only happens with a power surge? I will have to ask the handyman about that--learn something new every day!

TT, I hope the fact that you're getting so much done helps you feel better. Sometimes I feel stuck, and I don't know why, until I realize that it's because things are hanging over my head that I'm not dealing with. Once I deal with them I always feel so much relief.

So, around the time the dog was declining I was down to a couple of large bags of bird seed--I usually order another bag when I'm down to two, because sometimes it does go out of stock. Then I didn't think about it for a while, and I was almost down to one bag so went to order. I looked up the bird seed on the Walmart website like I always do, and they only had 20 pound bags, which cost more per pound. So I waited a while, and every day I checked the website and they didn't have the 40 pound bag. So I ended up buying one 20 pound bag so I wouldn't run out. A few days ago I had even sent an email into their customer service asking when they would have them back in stock, I got a reply saying they didn't know, just keep checking the website.
So the bin is almost empty and I have one 40 pound bag left, and checked the website again this morning--no 40# bag, only the 20#. So on a hunch, I went to my order page, found the 40# bag, and clicked on reorder. It came up, letting me reorder, so I ordered 2 bags--which they said would be delivered today. So I thought--okay, how long before I get an email saying it's out of stock? But no--a little while ago they delivered the two 40# bags. I'm very happy to get it, but wish they had put it on their website so I wouldn't have had to waste several dollars buying the smaller bag, and to worry about when it would come back in stock. This seed is not the really expensive "no waste" kind, but it's also not the kind that is mostly cracked corn, there isn't a comparable kind of seed for the price so I keep buying the same kind. Now I feel like I need to keep three bags in stock so I don't run out--although when the weather gets warmer I will be using less of it.
I carried the bags from the outer porch to a corner of the inner porch, and that was too much carrying for today, my back really is hurting now. And I'm sleepy, so I'm really looking forward to bedtime.
I did go outside with a very large old towel and wrapped the whole 2-3 foot hose on the rain barrel, hopefully that will keep it from freezing.
It's almost time to make dinner.

When I went to make dinner I realized I needed to make veggies and thaw out rice and beans, so I just had cheese and low-salt Triscuit crackers instead. They were very tasty.
I just don't have any energy left today, my back is better because I've been sitting, but now my neck hurts. Maybe I'm already stressed out about my Monday doctor appointment.
I'm going to go to bed early and read.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

I am still doing laundry…. I say that a lot. One of my friends said my mantra is “I need to clean the house”. It seems I am always cleaning and while it does get better slowly slowly slowly it is just taking forever. Now I have issues in my kitchen electric plugs so to get them fixed I have to clear off all my kitchen counters. So that means taking it all and tossing it into the dining room. It is stuff like this that slows me down even more. I do need the plugs to work but i just started to get everything back together since I had to clear out all the floor space to get the kitchen floor fixed. I finally have the kitchen items all back in the kitchen as of today. Now I have to start moving stuff out again - at least not all the floor cabinets this time.
Before I go to bed tonight I need to make the bed, do one more load of laundry, feed the cats again, and I need to get 2 donation boxes going and work for 10 min in the bedroom.

Good morning everyone!
I did not change my clocks yesterday, I thought of it in late afternoon but figured I could do it today because it doesn't matter for me--I don't have any kind of schedule, especially since the dog is gone--even my 6am wakeup can be adjusted gradually since I don't have to be anywhere.
I woke up every hour on the hour last night until about 3, then I slept through for a few hours.
Today will be near 50 degrees, maybe I can do something in the yard for at least a short while.
