So, the oats I got are either the wrong kind (again) or I am doing something wrong because they came out watery again. UGH. I am using the same measuring cups (the only ones I have).
this document I am editing has gotten so out of whack - that I think I need to start over.
I think I need to toss some papers - that will make me feel better

Didnt feel well - I thought if I ate lunch and had some protein it might help. I just ate 1/2 turkey sandwich - time will tell. I am committing to run a load of laundry tonight. and get something out of my squalorus car. I need to empty it out to empty out my "office" (cubicle)

Good afternoon--day 7 is over! Today the handyman drilled through the floor to make the drain for the shower, and then had to connect the pipes in the basement (through a bunch of other pipes) and then to the drain at the wall. Then he installed the shower pan, which again, needs several hours to dry, so he left early.
I got 6 hours of sleep last night, woke up at 4 and couldn't fall back, so I'm tired. I've just been resting for an hour though, so I will work on seedlings and houseplants until it's time for dinner.

A harder than usual day---Our wonderful Key Bridge is down. There are usually 30, 000 crossings per day, and it lies in the cold water, along with those people who were killed. My DH used it to get to work for years. It is so sad. Our whole area is upset, I think. People are just stunned and of course, the poor families who lost folks---I can't imagine---
Then , a call from my DD. My DGD has to go for a more specialized sonogram. We thought all was in the clear, but now this, and she may be induced a week early if this sonogram shows anything concerning. Hang in there, little baby girl, we love you already !!
Dailies, laundry, phone calls.
My best to all.

good afternoon everypony!
oh catcats , I am so sorry! Unfortunately I can imagine what you might be going through, living through the quake that collapse the freeways and closed the Bay Bridge. It was so traumatizing. three weeks later, I called a hotline set up, and their advice was talk to people. You are not alone! after the CA fires, my GA friends gave me a hard time for talking about it. they did not understand that talking about it is an important element of grieving and I wasn't trying to get attention or sympathy, I just needed to talk! so I support you if you feel like bringing it up every day. its a big deal.
and hugs to your family and precious little one!
I didn't get anything done last night. or this morning. woke up to the cleaning ladies. I'm disoriented. have to go to a potentially long appt today. Need to leave in half an hour.
DONE: half my exercises took meds am caffeinating
ON DECK: pay housekeepers what to wear? wash up and get dressed pack & go

Good afternoon, day 8 is over. The handyman has installed almost all the tile in the shower, tomorrow he finishes the tile and does grouting and caulking.
I worked on seedlings and did a load of laundry. Another day that was not at all conducive to yard work, the feels like temp was 20 degrees this morning. Tomorrow will be 51 so I'm hoping to get out there then.
I slept well last night for a change, hopefully I will again tonight since after tomorrow I have three days between handyman visits, he won't be back til Monday.
Catcats, the bridge video is frightening, how such a long structure could completely collapse in seconds. It sounds like the first responders did an amazing job getting things shut down quickly so more lives weren't lost. I will hope that your DGD's sonogram turns out well.

I had a very mild reaction to the amoxicillin, but any reaction is suspect, so none for now. I just took my ADHD medication so I can work (prep) more this evening.
The clouds and rain came in, and it seems cold in contrast to the recent sunny weather. and dreary. plus I'm having big energy at the moment. I guess I'll chill for a minute.

hi everyone! I am back! I have not posted since March 16 and I did try to read back. catcats when I heard about the bridge my first thought was hoping you were not on it! How awful it is. It must be leaving the community in shock. ohblondie I think you said you only have one more Monday at work before you retire?? Congrats!! So....I am back and I am tired! My trip was great. Half was business; half was fun. We were 1000s of miles from home and it was so good to get away. To be in a new place with beautiful weather and blue skies and beaches! The beauty of this trip financially was that my airline ticket and three nights in a hotel were covere by work, so we were able to travel at about 50% of the cost. It worked out really well, DD is young and sleeps in, so I was off in the mornings at sessions while she slept. I rented a car so we had freedom and she could drive around with her music loud in a very cool place while I was in a session. I am so so grateful for the trip. the pet sitter worked out, all animals were safe and sound. my sister who was going to be out of town was home so she dropped in and that made me feel so much better, like a quality control check, and great compan for the animals. I think it was hardest on boycat, he is shy. he has been very snuggly. The first night we were home, puppy woke me up around 3 am and just wanted to hold my hand for about a half hour. getting on the trip was HARD! I had the broken door, broken tooth, flooded basement, multiple deadlines at work so I was working late most of the week before the trip, when I had hoped to get ready, and I had to get the house set up for the pet sitter. but it all came together. looking back, I am pleased with some stuff-- I had all the paperwork done, I had my hair done, I had shopped for some new clothes, I hired the pet sitter ... I did many small steps to get us ready to go. I am still kind of jet lagged. woke up today feeling so sick because I did not fall asleep until nearly 5 am. thankfullly I have the flexibilty generally to work from home in this situation, so I did not have to rush and get ready and commute in, and could nap for lunch. I unpacked right away, but I still have laundry to do, and some stuff to put away. Now DD is gone too and I feel that kind of confusing feeling like wait where is she... I took her back to school two days ago. I am back in the saddle doing the dishes, cleaning the litter, walking the dog. I have a huge pile of mail to go through. work has been so so. Chaos is hard to take, I am so glad she decided not to go on biz trip. Hotel was really nice, I like staying in nice hotels, I like the quite hush of the lobby late at night and early in the morning, with some activity but not too much. I want to figure out the expenses -- we did a tour, and we had to eat out for most meals...it was expensive but it would have been crazy $$$ if work was not paying for the conference hotel and airfare. I need to finish my Lenten challenge. I was in a really good groove before the trip of getting rid of some big ticket items. I need to get back at it but TBH I am still kind of tired! I think the jet lag is hitting me more than I anticipated. I will prob head to bed soon and hope I fall asleep before 5 am!!

wow, bree , that does sound like an awesome trip. I love that you brought DD. and why does everything always fall apart the week before we have to leave? My DF has the best worst story. My folks generally spend the night at the airport as their house was several hours away, more if traffic. So they were packed, the car was loaded, and he sat on the bed admiring some art and pleased how low stress this strategy was. Until he got up, and realized he had just sat on and broken his glasses!
THE LIST: finish adding to front door wreath locate and decide on tablecloths clear and set up serving table--75% done set up coffee service--75% done spray paint The Sandworm? and relevant Peeps? (maybe put it together first)

do some urgent/important admin set out clothes for pre-party and party finish exercises research how to make crepe paper flowers?
THURSDAY: make flowers? hang them? make potato chip diorama?

do final dishes set up coffee and start it percolating (when?) make dip chop veggies put out sevingware decide on napkins launder or iron linens?
