Good morning, goldenthreads! Had a very productive Earth Day yesterday working on two areas in the side yard/walkway to mudroom door. Also bought some half price pansies and violets from Lowe's that made me very happy. So, lots of TA DA's yesterday. TA DA: Up to help with getting DGD breakfast and ready for kindercare. Breakfast and morning meds. Caught up with most crucial email correspondence. Actually caught up with all grading for one class. That is a major victory. TO DO: Mentor DS for a final paper. Wipe up sticky areas on kitchen floor. Try to get my energy up (I feel like I'm about to fall asleep at the keyboard).

ClimbingPyramids, sorry about your dear father in law. Unfortunately, when an old person breaks a hip it usually ends bad, I used to not know about this fact, until it happened to a family member. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, Nael_C. I'm sorry you have dealt with this in your family.

...only one black pair looks unfaded and dressy enough to wear out to someplace like a diner. The other 3 blue ones look like I'm ready to dig holes or something. Thank you for making me smile, DustyD! I was digging (small) holes for separating and replanting hostas, moving massive amounts of river rocks, and working in the dirt yesterday. Wardrobe was appropiately hole digging-esque.

I need to get out of the house. I am doing bits and pieces at home but mostly lying around the house. So I need to find a mission to get me out and about. done dishwasher emptied food set out for thawing clothes to hamper
I need to use my new bucket and mop. The only floor cleaner I have is for hardwood. Maybe a trip to the store is enough to get me moving.
I am trying to get a vent cover off the wall. It has been painted over so many times that is hard to get a screwdriver to work. I did work a knife around the edges to break it away.

Hello, ClimbingPyramids BetsyMarie and beesnest ! The other day I discovered yucky stuff on the underside of the kitchen sink's drain strainer/stopper. I cleaned it thoroughly and now I know that that was the source of the bad odor, not the pipes. Had meds and made bed. Washed dishes. Write down modification of today's route. Email daughter. Figure out what to do with my waiting time: errand, reading, planning, phoning, nap? Errands: library, friend to and from outpatient surgery, maybe gas

Just checking in. It was a long, tiring day, revolving around some medical appointments. Also did some errands and made an online purchase to solve a problem. Will be going out for a walk soon. Absolutely nothing got done around the house today. Tomorrow I have an afternoon appointment; hopefully I'll be able to do some things in the morning.

DustyD That sounds like a really useful day getting those life necessity appointments and errands knocked off your list. Wrote down modification of today's route and packed books. Picked up friend and took her to the surgery. Started reading book club book while I waited. She treated me to a late lunch and lovely conversation afterward. Went to library. Returned books and copied recipes from one of them. Email daughter. Put away dishes.

Good morning all. Hope the grooming session goes well. Kitty may like all the attention if not the clippers.
I got a late start but bribed myself with coffee and a bagel. (at home) Started laundry load scrubbed last stove grill and put it back in place stripped bed and remade it.
I have a new mop/bucket. I need to get cleaner that will not be slippery. I got a vent off the wall. May have gone from bad to worse. One of the screws ripped the drywall. There is no filter behind it? don't know if there is supposed to be. I may just buy a new vent instead of soaking and scrapping this one.
Bought groceries yesterday but did not go out for lunch.I need to make an effort to clear out the freezer. I got pears. Not quite ripe yet but tasted delicious.
