Ta dah - throw out Christmas tree - empty kitchen rubbish bin - put away airing rack
To do - break down cardboard boxes and put outside - sweep and mop corner where tree was - fill one rubbish bag
I'm breaking this down into very small manageable steps as I'm very motivated by crossing things off a list. Got a good playlist on and trying to be methodical.

crazykitty congrats on throwing out the Christmas tree. I have read that Rudy Vallee (old time singer) used to keep an entire room in his home with decorated trees all year. done: -took down dry laundry -gathered and prepared dishes for washing -pupa in kitchen Todo: -more laundry sorting -wash dishes -pick up the floor

DustyD, I saw your post about the earthquake. My sisters both felt is as did my daughter, I was busy at work, up walking around and didn't feel a thing. It seems for most, the damage was minimal. goldenthreads, I'm glad that you're feeling better! crazykitty, WTG for getting that tree out!!! Nael_C and BetsyMarie, I hope you are having splendid days! ta-da (Not much yet) Meds to cat Heated up some food for DH Reviewed Auto-ship order for cat meds and treats, edited it. to-do: Prepare and eat a healthy breakfast Load the dishwasher (the sink is full) Review FSP for healthcare expenses. I think I have way too much going into this account, which I will lose if I don't use. (I changed health insurance plans this year)

ta-da: Prepared whole-grain blueberry pancakes Loaded dishwasher while pancakes were cooking Scratch grains to Chickens Ate pancakes, sipping on some tea now.
to-do: Check FSA account. I did talk to DH and he thinks he might need the money in this account to pay for hearing aids. The ones currently covered by his insurance are not as good as ones he previously had, and he is unsatisfied with them, so I'm not sure what I'll do. It's complicated... Do some tidying up... I'm not sure where or what, but I need to get some stuff done. There are a couple areas I've been focussing on, but have felt overwhelmed and therefore avoiding those areas the past several days. Put some laundry away

I did a few odds and ends, some kitchen tasks, food prep emptied the dishwasher, tried to brush the cat a little.
I was really feeling stuck. Did what we call "bookending" (which is like this thread) with some in my CLA group. Told them I wanted to work on decluttering my laundry room, which honestly will take hours, but wanted to at least do 10 minutes I ended up doing 3 10 minute sessions, nearly filling a large box with donations, and then started a load of laundry
to-do: Go for a walk Continue with laundry Later take box of donations out to my car.

That's quite a dent in the laundry room, Ally! You're really productive today, DustyD. Had meds and made bed. Washed dishes. Took out recycling. Cull some things from fridge to go for compost. Take out compostables. Return library book. Go grocery shopping.
