goldenthreads , good idea to go shopping in the evening. At the beginning of covid I shopped very early (6am) and while the stores were empty, many things were unstocked. Now I still go early-ish, but more like 8:30. Store still not many people but mostly fully stocked. I do prefer fewer people to have to work around. I'll have to try in the evening, at least during longer days. Haven't done anything yet this morning, but I think I'll dedicate the day to non regular maintaining tasks where possible (except for laundry). I want to take some steps in getting rid of more stuff. The low-hanging fruit is much reduced, and the next layer is more difficult. But it's time... Todo: -fill donate boxes -clear entry way -walk through the house and collect out of place items At least this is the plan. But first another cup of hot cocoa.

Entry 2. Laundry room 3. Bathroom

Well, It's become very clear to me that AVOIDANCE is taking it's toll
ta-da: Moved laundry to the dryer, then hung up/put away most of it. Gave the chickens some scratch grains and filled their water. Walked to the mailbox, checked mousetraps in our cars (Yes, we have a problem with mice getting into out cars!) Called into CLA "Mediation into Action" meeting. Quote from As Bill Sees It:"The essence of all growth is a willingness to change for the better and then an unremitting willingness to shoulder whatever responsibility this entails."
to-do: I would really like to continue decluttering the areas that I started back 4-6 weeks ago. I have been still doing a little in other areas, just not as much as I would have liked. (Maybe it's because I regret getting rid of a bag of my mom's clothes a week or two ago, and wouldn't you know, I happened to watch a video about using shirts as quilt fabrics the next day, and originally that was my plan for the shirts. I really liked the quilt in the video, and it would have worked well with my mom's old clothing. It's okay, I know I'll get over it!) Eat a healthy lunch, Go for a walk.

When I got up this morning I discovered that the computer wasn't taking a charge. It's working again. I hope it'll last through the weekend so I can do my taxes and also back up the computer before the real repair happens. Had meds and made bed. Called computer repair store. Picked up interior of car and emptied litter bag. Called a different repair store and made appointment. Wiped down all the laptop surfaces. Went to bookstore and bought a replacement food journal and some sympathy cards. Went to pharmacy. Went to library and printed out extension of filing taxes forms (just in case). Brought back last bin. Cut and broke fallen tree branches and put them in green bin. Put away remaining groceries. Took out recycling. Went to computer store. The employee got my computer going again. Got diagnosis of failing battery, which I knew. Bought a replacement cable. The rest of the charger is fine. Made an appointment to have the laptop sent off for battery replacement next week. Put away clothes from dryer. Resume taxes. Put away dishes.

Good morning WITers! goldenthreads, I hope your computer is working this morning! ta-da: Yesterday, after avoiding it for a week or more, I started working in an area that has been cluttered/hoarded for over 10 years. I filled up a bag of trash, which went out this morning. Meds to cat, also worked on her matted back legs, which she only tolerates for a couple of minutes Scratch grains to chickens. Collected 1 egg so far today Prepared breakfast and ate, sipping on some tea. to-do: About 4-6 weeks ago I started the process of taking a withdrawal from a 403b. I was told that I needed to sign a form that they were emailing me. It's a long story, but that was around the time that I was trying to get clearance to go back to work, and the email didn't come right away, and when it did come, I was busy, the "form" that I had to sign was 23 pages, with lots of information to fill in, and I decided I'd put it off until the next day. I don't know what happened, it's actually a bit frightening that I might be losing my mind, but over the past several weeks, I've been expecting to receive this money, and when I checked the account balance a few days ago, I noticed that the money was never withdrawn. When I said something to DH, he said, "Oh yeah, someone called about that a few days ago. Listen to the message". Well it turns out that I never completed that 23 page form. I think I had filled out a shorter form, and to be fair there are 2 small pensions that I just completed similar paperwork for the previous month. So... I printed the form out at work on Tuesday. I will attempt to complete it this morning, and hopefully get it mailed. Water houseplants Start soaking some beans. I've been listening to several nutrition podcasts, and the consensus seems to be that whole foods, plant based is the way to go. No, I'm not going completely vegan, but I'm definitely leaning more that way.

ta-da: The form has been signed, and is ready to fax or mail. I just read the instructions, and learned that I only had to return one page of the form. I sent an email to the company with a question about how to submit it. Beans are soaking, Sourdough was fed. It's been neglected in the fridge for probably a month. Added stuff to the dishwasher
to-do: CLA meditation into action meeting Water houseplants Clean out car. More decluttering

Ally-- That sounds perturbing! Pretty sure you're not losing your mind/memory. You'd been at home for weeks and had your mind on many things in addition to the items I've highlighted. I'll bet you're used to doing an excellent job of keeping track of several things at once, and this one slipped your mind, so it feels very off. And it was sent via email, so you didn't have a paper copy sitting there staring at you, begging to be done. This sounds quite human! Sometimes when we imagine doing things we imagine them done. I hope you will be enjoying the 403(b) funds soon! (Yesterday at the pharmacy I "remembered" having passed my credit card twice through the thingie, but it wasn't registering. Well, I'd stuck it in the wrong spot and hadn't even noticed. Your mind could be much worse! ) Installed software update. Started dishes soaking. Went through tax folder and pulled a few items out. Work on taxes. Watch instructional video for backing up computer to external hard drive. Back up the computer. Pull dandelions.

Thank you goldenthreads. I just heard from the company and they said I can fax the form in tomorrow (from work). I have it ready to go, but I guess I should put it out in my car, so I don't forget it in the morning. ta-da: I was distracted during the CLA meeting, but still did the reading. Returned an email, and forwarded one to my work email One of my hens (a Rhode Island Red) is broody and was making quite a racket. I went out to check on things and collected eggs while she was off of the nest. She is quite fierce! If I wanted more hens, I'd get some chicks for her to raise, but I have more than enough chickens already. to-do: Water houseplants... I'll be moving many of them outside in a few weeks which will save time. Continue with decluttering Kitchen tidy up Take form to car, Get mail, sort it Bring in stuff from car. Discard junk
