To me, it's as simple as this" When I'm de-cluttering, pick something up. Find a proper place to store it or throw it away.

One thing that helps me is to visualize the chore already done,like how nice it would be to have the top of my refrigerator clean, and then make it happen. I have a dresser in my bedroom piled about two feet high with junk. My husband asked me to clean it all off, it looks terrible. I told him I'll remove 5 objects a day. he said "It will take you a month". Well, I think (guess) there are more than 150 items on there, it may take up to two months.

I did 3 things today. Took down the Christmas tree, deep cleaned my stovetop, and scrubbed out my bathtub. Now when I look where they used to be, I feel proud of myself.
