Dear C.Lion, This was so good I had to keep coming back to it again and again. Fantastic! It helps for a newbie to know all this.

I really enjoyed your post. It brought me clarity and enlightenment to accept that I can still be a worthwhile person while struggling with clutter. I often think that people who are neat don't berate themselves everyday for the way they are. Although it is true that the pendulum can swing too far the other way, but I don't think anyone wakes up in the morning saying to themselves"I wish I was messier"

The degree of squalor that I exist in is definitely a two. However, there are budgie droppings all over the place...I do try to keep them swept up, but our birds are free to fly about as they please all day. Does that mean I'm a Third Degree Squalorite?

Unstickied at the request of CourageouslyLion_SeeksSerenity. At one time this post was stickied (pinned) to the top of the main forum. However, I asked that the administrators "unsticky" it, because people were reading it, instead of reading the "official" statements from the administrators here: The Community Information section: takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/board/5The moderators have recently updated that "Community Information" section. Even if you've read it before, I suggest re-reading all the threads in that Community Information section. I learned some new things from reading it recently. I've also updated the first post in this thread to emphasize that - 1) I'm not a moderator/administrator.
- 2) The administrator/moderators have the final say.
- 3) This thread you are reading now is merely my personal perspective as a regular member.
- 4) I gave links to emphasize where to read the moderator/administrators' "official" community purpose and policies.
