This is the W.I.T. (Working in Threes or 3's or whatever) thread.
Everyone is welcome, even if you've never posted before.
The 'guidelines' are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
Post the next 3 things you plan on doing.
Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place.
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided I could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
.... YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post ....
Ta - Da's
- took pop can to kitchen
- put away phone book
- threw away McDonald's wrappers
then your To - Do's
- bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- put dirty socks in hamper
- bring folded towels to linen closet and put away
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. You deserve them!

I usually post on accountablity, but i must admit i am a bit shaken up over ss, so i will commit to this today.  Ta-da 1. vitamins 2. kids vitamins 3. girls on bus 4. got this up and running 5. layed down ds4 for a nap 6. breakfast, self and kids 7. shower and ready, dining table cleared, floor in dining and hall picked up. 8. entry picked up 9. dining, entry and hall swept ok, just listing what i got done instead of numbering.  picked up and swept living room. cleared one counter. ds3 down for nap. flowers will wait for dh to get home. kichen counters cleared and washed. one load of dishes running. kitchen floor swept. cleaned up puppy accident. thanks, bluefrog!! |

Good for you, Missy, for looking after the kids AND YOURSELF this morning.
DONE:
-unloaded the dishwasher
-made the bed
-scooped the cat box
TO DO:
-get dressed, since I'm still in my bathrobe
-switch laundry to the dryer
-bathe the dogs--luckily, they're chihuahuas

Good to see you bluefrog and thanks Missy for starting this new site...LiveJournal was fun, but I am so computer ignorant that it was a bit overwhelming for me.

:)I like the feel of this board. I may end up in both places because I want to read about all of my SS buddies. I think this site is a lot easier though. Anyway,

So nice to see y'all here. I much prefer this to LiveJournal...it was very overwhelming & time consuming just to get signed up there. I hope that this place will work out & that we will all be on this one site, if so. I do appreciate all the work that Pigpen, Script, LN, AH & anyone else that I missed have done.
I had lots of tadas & then got side-tracked on the internet for 3 hours!!!
Tadas:
1)woke up at 6:30am without pushing the snooze button
2)dressed2shoes
3)got the items together & set out, boxed up & labeled for chemical pick up this morning--3 boxes. I scheduled this a couple weeks ago and they even made a reminder call on Friday (that was unexpected & appreciated!)
More tadas:
1)emptied back bathroom trash
2)emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag
3)emptied it again, & replaced bag
Still more tadas:
1)took 3 bags of trash to outside can & scooted it out for pick up
2)took 2 bags of recyclables to outside can
3)took kids to schools
4)put bagof giveaways out for American Kidney Fund to pick up.
DH told me that I shouldn't have let the starch go for chemical pickup as he has used it recently. I didn't use it & knew we had had it for years,! I told him that I'd buy another can...
Chemical pick up left one of the boxes with a note that said it could go in our regular trash. It was a big plastic thing that had been used to mix paint & had some dried in the bottom. So, I just put the whole box in the trash can but did not bag it as I thought we were supposed to... It was just picked up with the rest of our regular trash.
Todos:

Yay yay yay... a forum that is easier for my tired brain deadness...
Done:
1. Made delicious meatball lunch to share with bf.
2. Washed all dishes. Cleaned stove, counter and sink.
3. Fluffed and made bed. Showered.
To Do:
1. Declutter night tables.
2. Start one load of laundry.
3. Visit parents and my sister's family (here for the week)

That made me smile, Simple Gifts... I have stopped wearing watches because they tend to stop running or go a little "off". Even the clock in my class is 5-10 minutes off kilter. Originally it was an old electrical one, but then I replaced it with a new battery driven clock. It doesn't matter if I change the battery or not, it still slows down or speeds up... I've given up going on the ladder to fix it. A few other things... Clock radios that don't work on Alarm... Microwave ovens that are out of wack... Just odd things like that...
I like to say it's my magnetic personality *laugh* but have to admit that it's just one of those unexplainable weird things that happens to me...

wantinmore, great job on the boxes! I feel like I've done very little today. Am jumping over here from the LJ WITs.
TaDas:
1. Returned fan to condo office (after Great Plumbing Adventure)
2. Arranged for Freecycler to pick up stuff I posted
3. Decided to join here so I could continue WITs and try to stay on track this afternoon
ToDos:
1. Lunch, and promptly clean dishes
2. Pull out old adhesive contact paper
3. Wipe down wood cabinets with natural cleaning solution, just in case
4. Cut and put the new, non-contact stuff in there
5. Start putting pots and pans away again
6. Three timed twenty minute segments in study where things have built up due to stress, disruption, and disgruntled mood leading to lack of daily maintenance.
