I've been thinking about this thread. Magnifying the harmonious. If peace really is the tranquility of order, and if we really do walk in the direction in which we look, then appreciating oases of harmony and order.... My fridge and freezer are kept in orderly maintenance, and it is pleasing to open the doors and see well kept supplies.

Wire cart in bathroom replaced the plastic box. Wire cart is more useful, and looks nicer. It is nice to look at order which is attractive. Very nice.

I've backslid over the past couple of years, and have to admit that I've done a terrible job of housekeeping. I'm going to make a new start. I remember reading about someone working on areas 1 square foot at a time. (about 30cmX30cm for you metric people.) I'd like to do that. I'm going to clear away a couple of grocery bags (along with the contents) that are on the kitchen floor, which will count as 1 square foot, (maybe 2) And clear a small section of kitchen countertop. I'll be back!

Ally Congrats on your new start. Sometimes my clearing is a few square inches, which I try to maintain. I'm staying at it, a few steps forward, some going in reverse, and then I manage to rise up and go forward again.

I have been focussing on all the things I need to do, and haven't done, ought to have done, etc.
To balance that, here are some things on the other side of the "equation":
I do these things consistently:
- care for family - exercise - pay bills on time - keep gasoline in the car - wash dishes - read or watch uplifting things - keep the bathroom in almost acceptable state - put my keys in the same place - file my nails - shower and wash hair - clean fans
Hey, I could keep going! I have been wanting to do this, as it has become a habit to think about the other side....

I have had good control over the kitchen, living room, and bathroom until very recently.
Sadly, my only true zero is the bathroom right now.
My husband shop-and-dropped yard sale items on my kitchen table, brought home a kitchen appliance there is nowhere to store, and stacked the dog dishes on the table. He cooked a big meal . . . and I just can't quite deal with the loss of my level 0 kitchen. I'm working on it.
The living room is going to be easier.
I want to stick with this thread and get to the bedroom and office.
