Dear Peeps, Thanks for all the wonderful tips! I have been wearing sandals lately as I so often do due to the warm climate. When sandals won't work I loved my crocs & mocs! But I have to agree they are not the most attractive footwear I have done mine in the washer but the only "real" pair I bought shrunk in the dryer. So I would say the same thing,NO Dryer. Hi again, Okay, maybe the Ajax might be a bit harsh. If I felt I had to use it, I would use it on my pair of Crocs though. I've read where people have used Dawn, that might help with the black marks. I live life right on the edge sometimes, and even when it comes to cleaning, as I have even washed leather sneakers in the washing machine, and washed wool sweaters in washing machine. I all the time wash "dry clean only" in the machine! I even washed a leather biker vest in the machine recently and it came out great! OT but since the subject came up, I wash all of my knitted woolens in the washer, Cold water, Gentle cycle, not too crowded, watch carefully for dye running. I use soap if I have it. (I don't remember the name, but I bought it at a feed store, it is used to wash sheep. Orvis maybe?) Dissolve it first in water though! Likewise with silk blouses. I tried the department store Croc knock-offs, and they felt "wrong" to me. But I have bought the Lands' End version I am pleased with them, so far. SG

I think I finally figured out how to upload a photo - The one on the right has had all kinds of cleaning but as you see, it still looks worn out and dirty. The one on the left had the GooGone treatment. Five minutes later, there it was, the original color was back. I will try other solvents but I'm happy with the results on this one.
