This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da! If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM![/b]

Good Morning Rosebud You sound very bright and cheery this morning. I hope you're mood matches your post. I'm overly tired this morning, as I worked from 8a-8.30pm yesterday, not including the two hours worth of driving getting to and from work. Though, if I'd gone to be straight away, it would have been okay... but I stayed up watching telly. Tadas: got up. made bed and took dirty clothes to the laundry tidied bathroom (put toothbrushes away, closed shower curtain, picked up clothes from floor.) Also: Made coffee / tea Moved dirty dishes around (still have to do them! but it looks better having them all in one place.) Read e- mails and boards Todos: Do the dishes Pick up toys / trash from living room floor. swish and swipe bathroom.

Morning Merry - that is a LONG day. I think you have the right to be tired. I have puled 12 and 16 hour days and I am nobody's friend the next day.
I have no excuse for my exhaustion today, but it's here. TaDas 1. Got up 2. Emptied the dryer and put the clean clothes in my room so it can be used by anyone. 3. Spoke a little bit with probable-future-apartmentmate about agreements and things that have to be written down for when I move next year. 4. Ran 2 loads of wash
ToDos 1. Dry those 2 loads of wash 2. Pay rent 3. Speak to the complex about getting a new thermostat or replace it myself. It's messed up and our power bill was over $200!

Good luck with the landlady, syzygy. And good job on the laundry, stressed by the mess. Very considerate of you to take the stuff out of the dryer.
TADAs: 1. Up/dressed/bed made 2. Unloaded dishwasher and put stuff in it 3. Still working on jam/jelly/etc. The fruit seems to have multiplied overnight. Yikes! How did pioneer women ever put up entire farm loads of produce???
TODOs: 1. Wrap B-day present for sister and mail 2. Three things for charity donation -- boy this is hard! 3. MD and then check on friend with broken ankle.
Hope you're all doing well.

Wow! everyone's Ta Da lists are impressive! I'm on lunchbreak from work. Thinking now that my fatigue may be related to allergies, as I have been having slight headaches and post-nasal drip. Took an OTC allergy med just now and will bring it up with doc when I see him later in the month. (thanks to merrymaid who encouraged me to make the appointment )I think I will ask him to prescribe me a general allergy med rather than go to visit an allergist right away.........I don't have much faith in allergists - the one time I went to one (for an allergy I used to have to caffeine) they gave me the standard allergy tests and I came up as allergic to DOZENS of things, which is ridiculous. Some of the things I was supposedly allergic to I knew for a fact did not bother me at all! So.........if I can get relief from a general allergy med that would be best. If not, I will go to an allergist but not that same one! One way or another, I do need to figure out the reason for the extreme fatigue I've been experiencing for months now. Doesn't help me keeping up with the house when I'm constantly fighting the urge to crash on the couch! Ta Da! Went to work, fighting horrible traffic Mailed out bills that I forgot to mail yesterday Went to the bank and cashed a check To Do: Take out trash before going back to work Stop at bank and deposit money in my account Finish the work day with a flourish!!! Hey foolks! You're all doing great this morning.
carrie... don't worry, not all allergists are the same, but it is possible to be sensitive to something and not show a reaction. Especially things you've only been exposed to a couple of times. The first time almost never shows a reaction, for example! I hope you find relief, allergies are never fun. I have mild ones, but rarely take anything for them. My husband has them something awful.
I've had a fairly productive morning, and was very productive last night! I've made huge strides in the girls' room, and I'm planning on doing more. I did take progress pictures, so I'll hopefully be able to post those soon.
1) Got up 2) Got dressed 3) Went to grocery store, got fixin's for supper 4) Put supper into crock pot (chicken mozarrella with stuffing) 5) Tried to make guacamole, but avocados weren't ripe enough to mash 6) Took out a bag of trash
To do:
1) Wash lunch dishes 2) Take out two hugs bags of trash on porch that hubby didn't last night 3) Pick up more stuff in the girl's room

Isn't it great to already have dinner going in the crockpot? Eliminates that last minute "uh oh, what's for dinner?" that I've been running into a lot lately.
Ta das: - dressed myself & the kids - fixed us lunch - switched over laundry
To do: - empty dishwasher - reload dishwasher - 15 minutes living room

Oiyf, already 4pm and not much done. I got off work early today, and dont have it tommorow. Which is good. I'm going to try and get more done tonight so I can guilt-free spend my weekend happily.
TaDas 1. paid rent, updated the board for the roomies to pay their share 2. Got maintanance to come out and they have done work on both my AC and my thermostat so hopefully it is good to go and we can save some money and still be cool! 3. Dried those 2 loads of laundry, washed my comforter and will dry it when roomie is done with the wash (he needed clothes so i let him in instead). 4. Put away my bento box and put the dishes in the sink in the dishwasher.
It's been a very unproductive day both at work and home, i need to fix that. So the next Todos
1. Take out the trash in my bedroom. 2. Spruce up the entry way and closet. 3. Clean up dining/living room.
Those sound big but they arent, all 4 of those areas were brought recently to a 0.5 level or better due to the unexpected guests we had and the expectation of the new cat (which was put off as the case was).
