Now I am going to brag about myself again.
Ummm...
I almost never forget to say thank you when appropriate.

When someone tells me something in confidence, I'll take it to my grave with me.

My messy house is evidently inviting. My son's friend has a terrible home life and is now living with us.
I love to cook, and people tell me I am good at it. I am a great cake decorator. Something I wish to get back to doing.
I am comfortable with people of all ages and races. I can talk to anyone. Children and older people seem to be drawn to me.

Permission to brag. I love it!!
Yesterday I planted 200 tulips, 12 Oriental lilies, and 6 red daylilies. Snow coming today.
Also, I have finished painting the outside of house and completed winterizing (shut down sprinkler system, drained/put away hoses, covered things like air conditioner, birdbath, mower, fountain, barbeque grill, etc. with plastic tarps). I did not do all of this yesterday.
Now I can look out at the snow and not agonize over outside chores that didn't get done.

Current events, history, different customs, designs, architecture, archaeology, anthropology, geography, volcanos, plants, trees, wildlife, oceans, religions, philosophy, movies, celebrities, politics, economics, cemeteries, dinosaurs, science fiction, paranormal activity, the universe, quasars, black holes, hermit crabs, labyrinths, Halloween, etc. etc.

I'm really good at gift-giving. This is not to say I spend a lot of money, but rather that I love finding that thing that is "just right" for that particular person.

Last night after our supper together (5 neighbours, my DH cooked), I took one little 9 year-old into the craft room. She was bored with the grown-up talk etc. I helped her make a tag for herself, showing her name. We used various supplies in my now-organized-stash. She had fun (45+ minutes?). Her mom had a break. I was thrilled.....because: *with the help of Richard ("mr hunk") I have been able to transform a wasted junque room into a terrific area that fosters creativity. *As part of the craft area, I have put to good use a very expensive bookshelf bought originally for my ex-husband (Mr Tortured Genius) maybe in 1975? I got this piece of furniture as part of our division of household assets, and for 34 years it was just a catch-all for big and mostly unwanted books. *I have repurposed MANY little household storage items (jam jars, fancy boxes, margarine tubs) to organize my craft supplies. I have NOT spent $$$$ for this organization work. *The ORIGINAL mega-work on the craft room took place 5 years ago when I joined FlyLady and found Squalor Survivors. At that time I did the FIRST mega-purge of the books and music (and dust ). I have kept working on the books and stuff: this week I brought another 5 books (newish) to the library as a donation. Thank you Creator for the grace of perseverance. *I insisted that other neighbour young people REMOVE the table and cloths that we were giving to them: in June/July? Getting rid of the table freed up the WALL where the craft table now sits! *I let Mr Hunk INSIST that I in turn bag up all the suitcases in good plastic and store them in the cleaned-up furnace room: more space for the craft table. I realize in typing the above that ONE THING leads to another. In a positive way........................ thank you for the opportunity to BRAG ("it's not bragging or boasting if it's true"-----quote from some journalist's wise old father)

I can make a mean pot of seafood gumbo.
Same for traditional New Olrean's style red beans and rice.
And, I've perfected the Western Omelet (I always try to use fresh peppers and onions from my garden. )
