Oh syzygy, I don't blame you for feeling discouraged. Can you ask around and maybe find something by word-of-mouth that may not be advertised? That is, if you know anyone who may know about that sort of thing..................well, keep looking - something will turn up eventually. Has that girl blocked you again yet? Merrymaid, yipee on the mudroom progress! Will you post pics when it's done for us to see? Seems as though that's been a huge project for you, congrats on getting it (nearly) done! Threeg, I'm impressed that you got so much done in addition to work - I know it's hard to get stuff done on work days. It's ok if your progress is slow, mine is slow lately too............just have to keep doing SOMETHING towards progress I guess. Had a great time at the party, showing off how grown up my kids are. Pies were a big hit. A little sleepy now, might even lie down for a bit before tackling something new. When I get up this is my list of threes to start me off this evening: Scoop cat boxes, fresh food & water Throw away 10 pieces of junk mail Wash filing box and put hanging folders in there Carrie

I've been asking around- most of the advice I get is to stay clear of X area- the ones with the cheap rent. I'm going to start checking the rentals every day (Sat and Sun especially) and start looking at them. I may have to resign myself to putting up with the crap in order to not spend money that I don't have.
In the meanwhile, I finally got myself up and doing something. I went down to the basement into my little storage area. I still have moving boxes and bubble wrap down there.
Ta dah * Checked out the bubble wrap and moving boxes in basement storage * Got rid of two oriental rugs that I loved, but that were disintegrating. That was a tough one; I discovered it last year and hoped if I ignored it, they would get better. * Brought up "spare" toaster oven to give away * Went through clothes and took out 1/2 box to donate * Left with 3 boxes of kitchen stuff and 5 of clothes in storage

I want to post some "to do" here, but I hate being limited to posting three. If it's okay, I want to post a list, maybe in groups of three (?) and check them off as I can. Having a list compels me to do things so I can check them off. I like when OCD works for me instead of against me. . Kitchen - we just got invaded by the summertime ants. While I am glad that the ants aren't due to my having a dirty kitchen, it still annoys me and demands that I clean out EVERYTHING! Grr! Counters / Stove Dishes Cabinets Empty garbage and recycle Sweep floor Mop floor It's piling up again since I started working... Laundry - ONLY ONE LOAD Maintainence only... OH HECK NO! WHAT WAS I THINKING PUTTING ALL THIS STUFF DOWN TOO? I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE KITCHEN FOR ABOUT 6 HRS. THE ANTS FINALLY APPEAR TO BE GONE. MAINTAINENCE STUFF WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SAT & SUN AFTER I GET HM FROM WORK. Bathroom Coffee table Vacuum Water plants / bird seed Hummingbird feeder I'm sure there's a lot more, but this is a good start to get me focused. Wish me luck!

First- Happy 4th to all who are WIT today! I wanted to read it anyways for my fellow "WIT" folks since I'm normally posting in here (just not today).
MadTiger - Awesome thing to work for. I know having people in and out can be very frustrating.
Carrie7on - Thank you again for the encouragement from you today. I know you were up early and think you did a ton today!
On the way - Even the little stuff counts.
MerryMaid - WTG, not just today but I know you have been in WIT threads a LOt lately.
Syzgy - Best of luck with finding a new apartment. And they are Ta Das, even if the results are not finding a new place yet. Is there anyone you know who needs an apartment mate in a better area?
ThreeG - you do what you can, work eats my life at times too, and that's just how it is. I'm impressed that you are even trying with 2 jobs. That's a lot of pressure on one person.
Crimson - I post more than three a lot. I wouldn't worry about it. And of course, good luck!
