ToDos: 1. Vacuum area rug and put back in entry. 2. Finish culling old magazines and going through things on cocktail table. 3. Vacuum furniture (oh I hate this one!)

SBTM, rah rah and 3 cheers for you! You are really moving along in the desqualoring and getting rid of stuff! Where do we read about the mysterious lettered projects, such as project V? Sounds intriguing! syzygy, how's the apt. search going? Sending good thoughts your way for just the right one. Carrie7on, I can't take credit for 'vertical'. One of our other brilliant and funny members came up with that! you're doing great with all those ta da check marks; fixed the bird feeder and filled them all too! Dragonchilde, congratulations on reaching the summit of Mt. laundrymore! Whoo hoo!
I have: 1. watered both gardens I needed to this morning (one of them was my own) 2. had a friend help me to put some stakes in the beds so I can stake the dahlias. They are pathetically late this year, but I'm still hopeful to see some blooms in August! 3. posted here!
to do: 1. break through resistance to my afternoon painting tasks; it's hot and i don't want to work outside! 2. drink plenty of water while I'm out there 3. quit procrastinating and get out the door before it gets even hotter.
Enjoy your naps, syzygy and SBTM; naps are great, and so refreshing!

Hi y'all, Glad to see people are motivated - it is getting me going! Good luck with your planned and unplanned cleaning.
This past week has been very busy and tiring at work - not much done at home. My building will be shutting down its elevator for about a month for maintenance (yes, they chose to do so during the HOTTEST months in NYC - July and August). I have been shopping to stock up so I don't have to climb 3 flights with bulky stuff, and have piles of things in my apartment to be put away, so here it goes:
Tada's 1. Changed litter in box and threw away old litter 2. Wiped down kitchen counters 3. Put away extra shopping on kitchen table in kitchen cabinet
Todo's in groups of 3: 1. Find place to put away TP and paper towels 2. Put misc appliances away (2 coffee makers, blender) in kitchen cabinets up high that I took out of low cabinets 3. Clear off cabinet top by front door
Then: 4. Clear off top of low boy in office 5. Clean bathroom toilet bowl and sink 6. Wash dishes in kitchen sink and dry
Well, guess I am,
Ontheway

Ugh. So glad the past week is over. Work was particularly rough this week and I am glad to have 2 days off. Hubby was kind enough to empty the dishwasher and declutter the counters / sink while I slept in this morning. I think I'll keep him. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/GuBQQkiwyXxnHbJKesLq.gif) Ta Da: 1. Up and coherent, showered, and dressed, and fed. 2. Put away clean laundry. (The story of my life.) 3. Errands to pick up home improvement odds and ends. 1. Replaced pillows on bed; old pillows could not be salvaged and thus are in the trash. 2. Replaced water filter in the refrigerator on schedule. 3. Treated aphid covered trees in the back yard. To Do: 1. Pick a decorating project and do it. 2. Another load or two of laundry. 3. Return a sweater. *bonus* See if I can talk husband into replacing the broken vent in the bathroom.

Wow, am I hot and sweaty. 95 degrees outside, and it shows. I was only outside sorting through a leak-damaged box of christmas stuff for maybe ten minutes, and I'm dripping like I ran a marathon! Looks like we're all struggling with the heat.
syzygy - Great progress! For such vague goals, you're accomplishing a ton!
glowworm - coherency is a major accomplishment! took me a couple hours this morning.
Tadas;
1) Started 2 loads of laundry, one in dryer 2) Sorted through ALL Christmas boxes, included the leak-damaged (and MOLDY) ones on the back porch. Surprisingly little was unsalvageable! 3) Put Christmas stuff in two plastic boxes... sturdier, and won't get leak-damaged again! Have one to spare now. And plenty of stuff to put IN it! 4) Took one bag of trash to the trash can 5) Put away all the clothes I'd folded from Mt Cleanlaundrymore.
Todos:
1) Fold clothes from this morning 2) wash more stuff 3) Clean sink and toilet in bathroom.
Onward!

Carrie - go you!! Since a couple people have asked about the mysterious projects, I tell ya'll what. I will post the projects (with pictures), in a byways thread soon. Projects however will only get posted when they're finished. Till then, I keep my mystery and suspense. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/5W4UEP3N1aQXkhreE2zR.gif) You're going to quickly find out though I'm a lot more boring than you think I am I do believe! That said TaDas 1. Food, food was achieved. 2. I scheduled a massage for myself next weekend. Part of me wants to call right back up and cancel (I'm very self conscious and have never done this before). But, I don't get charged as long as I give 24 hrs notice, so, we'll see. 3. Ironed several more pieces of clothing. I am down to 5 more items to iron! 4. Put away and hung up what I ironed. nap didn't happen but, oh well. ToDos 1. Brush and floss and what of the evening routine I can manage. I need to dig up that thread of mine sometime soon and USE it. (I hope i don't start too many threads for people? I will wait for that until my independence list is done). 2. Remember to set my alarm to get up EARLY tomorrow. 3. Go to bed at a decent hour. With any luck, more tomorrow!
