Thank you for all the imput and gems of wisdom. It gives me much to ponder as I work toward finding new ways to manage the tendencies I have, to reclutter after suffering through the physical work and emotional pain of cleaning it all to 0 degree once again.
rickie, Thank you for saying it in a concise way that is so very clear to me..... I know that feeling about the clutter. Then again, I feel happier if I'm half drunk most of the day, but my life overall is not going better, nor am I living it more fully, when I'm doing that.

I can certainly understand what you are saying and relate to it. I've only recently begun to consider my clutter a problem.
The one thing I really hate about it is losing things. I can lose hats, gloves, mail, keys, faster than anyone I know. If I lost it yesterday, its probably at the top of the clutter and I will find it again within a week. But if I lost it a year ago I have no idea where to look, and I will never find it until I de-clutter. All this can end up costing a lot if I have to replace things.
Squalor has to be a high priority if its a health issue... but clutter does not.
