"The only thing that has to be finished by next Tuesday is next Monday." -- Jennifer YaneThis quote is for everyone (like me ) that beats themselves up when they don't reach some cleaning or de-cluttering goal by a certain time. ----------------------------------------------------- Thank you, Serendipity! I'm glad you enjoy the quotes. (And I really like your avatar.) A big "welcome back" to Seraphina! And thanks again for the beautiful quote . . . MM, that quote is so true. I know I'm going to feel much less frazzled when this place is finally clean and I know where everything is . . . BTT, I know I should definitely take both of your quotes to heart and stop whining about how many obstacles there are to me getting things done around my home. PG, I love that quote, but I would need to change it to not only "chaotic action," but also "chaotic inaction." Everything seems to be chaotic in my apartment. (And that's why I'm here.)

here Geraniumgrowing is another that has the same meaning in different ways....
yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that is why we call it the present!

I love the try and triumph one.
and pony girl -- that is actually true.
brilliant teacher of mine explained (believe it's called cybernetics)
better to start moving in some direction, and adjust in response to feedback, than to stay stock still.
he meant scientifically.

"People forget how fast you did a job--but they remember how well you did it." -- Howard Newton--------------------------------------- Geraniumgrowing, I'm glad you like all the quotes. People have really contributed lots of great ones to this thread, haven't they?

You are living the life you choose. If you are unhappy, you have to make conscious decisions and make the changes. Happiness does not fall into our laps. We make happiness happen for yourselves. mouseanne

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." -- Teddy Roosevelt---------------------------------------------------- Nice original, mouseanne, and so very true. Hope, I really needed that laugh today, especially the part about you living in New Jersey for "about a minute."

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.

"So many of our dreams at first seems impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.” -- Christopher Reeve------------------------------------------------ Yeah, BTT, wouldn't life be so much easier if we could just magically know what we need to know, when we need to know it? Because I don't seem to learn quite as quickly as I used to . . .

Hope, Faith, Dream. Ok, not really a quote, more of a personal mantra. We can never give up our hope, with out it we just exist. We have to have faith, in ourselves, each other, and a Higher Power. Sometimes it is just our faith that gets us through the day. We all have to dream. It is essential to setting and achieving our goals.
