Howdy, I'm ready to start working. I had to go and return a key from a pet care job last week so was delayed somewhat.
Cando, I read your other thread about the party, so glad you had a nice time. Is tonight's party just for your son's friends?
Hello hslinks, glad to see another dice game player--and you have yet another clever way to play, with your chart!
I revised my list a little:
2 Paperwork 3 Books 4 Clean in a drawer, closet or cabinet 5 Clothing/Laundry related 6 Clutter 7 Clean something 8 Books 9 Put away Christmas stuff 10 Books--in spare room only 11 Clutter 12 Clean something.
First roll: 5, Clothing/Laundry related

I started a load of laundry, and it took me a long time because I wanted to wash my two jackets, which means removing everything from the pockets, including the peanuts and peanut crumbs that I carry around for the squirrels... Next roll: 12, Books Diane

Hi Diane. Party was for DS and his friends... whom my DH and I really like a lot, too. I say was... because so far only 3 definites, but 3+... don't know yet. Good job with tough laundry. I vacuumed the den and emptied the canister. Next roll: "3" - which brings me to #19 take trash to outside can. Poof! CD

Got distracted this roll and last by one of my cats. First he wanted to play and then he wanted his afternoon snack.
I walked around to each room and picked up the most obvious things that didn't belong there and put them away.
Cando, are you still liking your vacuum cleaner? So your son is still at home? I thought I remembered something about his getting an apartment? Or am I completely wrong there?
Next roll: 6, Books again.

Done, plus moved clothes to dryer. It just boggles my mind how a heavy duty sweatshirt can turn inside out, sleeves and all, in the wash!
Next roll: 9 Put Christmas stuff away.
Oops--I just realized that for the last two rolls I was looking at the wrong list--I write my list down on my desk notebook so I don't have to keep looking back through the thread--and when my cat was demanding playtime and jumping all over the desk, he knocked the tablet over. I picked it up and opened it up to a prior page. Honestly, between this and my dice dyslexia I'm really not very good at this game!

Aw, Kitties. Good job decluttering, Diane. No, you remember correctly, Diane. He is a college student and is in an apartment shared with 3 other guys on campus. During the Winter Break, he is still sleeping there and also has a job close to his apartment. But, he is spending more of his free time here, during the Break as his girlfriend's parent's apartment if pretty close to here and he likes to be with us some during his break and has friends who come by here, too. His friends either live out closer to us or are here for Winter Break. Okay -- I took 4 bags of trash to outside can and 1 bag of recyclable bottles/cans/jars to outside can. Also, put bag of recyclable paper stuff in garage and an empty box, too. Next roll: "10" -- which brings me to #13 -- clear TV tables that were in den Poof! CD

Well, that was easy, since I didn't put up a tree this year I was able to take all my Christmas decorations down in about 15 minutes. They are in the storage boxes in my spare room closet! Okay, so your son just has his parties at your house? That's nice that he likes spending time with you, some kids would rather be anywhere than with their parents! Next roll: 8, Books Diane

Aw, Diane! You are wonderful at this game!!! Besides, just getting anything done is terrific!!! Remember no hard, harsh rules or then it would be no fun... I cleared the 4 TV tables & washed them off. I'll put them away when they dry. Next: "9" -- which brings me to #5 -- wash another sinkful of dishes. Poof! CD

Oh, Diane. I asked him if we were invited or if he'd rather us not be here. He said, "Of course, y'all are invited and welcome to stay". We will probably NOT stay here as our house is not big enough to just be in another room. If they play board games or other type interactive games, then we might join in. But, they may be gaming on computers and using TV for different games. We will probably want to get away for a while and give them some space & us too. Yes, I am very thankful for my wonderful DS and DD. (of course, could be that we are just way cool parents. CD

I did more random, aimless clutter removal--I think I do better when I concentrate on one area.
I am going to stop for dinner now, I'll be back later to see what's going on. I decided to try to go visit my sister tomorrow even though the bus schedules might be different for the holiday--although, since it's Sunday, it might be the same--I'm not sure. I didn't go last week because of being so busy with holiday pet care jobs. So, I shouldn't stay up too late tonight.
Good work Cando, if you're gone when I get back I hope you enjoy the party tonight, or whatever you decide to do if you go out!
Diane
