I just decluttered a JCPenney catalog from 1999! Am I the ONLY one that has such stuff in my home? If I am not the only one, I challenge you to declutter 1 thing that has been hanging around your home WAAYYY too long. Nichole hopefulnic

Of course, you're not the only one.
Congratulations on tossing out that outdated catalog.

You are not the only one! Yesterday I found taco shells that had expired over a year ago. Taco shells last for YEARS; how long have they been sitting in there, that they actually expired?

In my epic library dustathon and marathon of hope (Oct/Nov 2004) I tossed out books from the 1960's, including text books which hadn't been opened in 35 years (still had computer punch card bookmarks with the DATES to prove they had been unopened.) YOU CAN"T BELIEVE THE DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!! You are not alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HopefulnicNo, you're not the only one. When I was cleaning, decluttering, purging my old house to put it up for sale in 2000, I found a magazine collection surprise. I had stereo speakers way on top of my big tv/stereo(yes)/chochki shelving unit in the front room. I had forgotten that I used magazine stacks to hold up those stereo speakers. There they were from the late '80s. They were home decor style magazines that I used to subscribe to longgggg ago. Yes, a bit dusty. And embarrassing, but no one saw them but me. Ha.
Was interesting to look at them though before I threw them out!!

No, you're not alone. Last year moving out of home after divorce, I found old magazines and whatever from the early 1990's. Now ex-husband saw a few and made comments or raised an eyebrow. Toward the end I needed to get out faster, and remaining items were just put into boxes and into storage. So when I go through the storage, I'll find more.
Please send prayers or best wishes for the house to sell. It's been on the market since December and we've already reduced it by $150,000.

I once opened a book in a school library and found a mini calendar for 1880. I guess our generation did not invent squalor.
