The purpose of this thread:
To post our hopes/goals and desqualoring javascript:add("%20:-X")progress on a day-to-day basis.
The goal of this daily thread:
We're here to be accountable for ourselves and accomplish stuff (no matter how small the task). If we succeed or fail, we know there'll be someone always looking out for us and posting supportive comments/responses, (i.e., those who participate are paying attention and following up on the progress of others who participate).
Participation requirements:
None. Just jump in and join in whenever you feel like it!

too keyed up to sleep yet and it's officially after midnight so it IS saturday.. figured i'd start listzilla and do a braindump so i could maybe fall asleep.
i crammed through alot of homework friday, just plowing through it all has left me keyed up...homework to do today- polisci reading polisci paper
i have -alot- of cleaning i want to get done. i'm going to list it and i can sound like an insane nutcase, and that's alright. masterbathroom-

Okey dokey, can I join? And can someone poke me in the eye if I don't get this done before I go to bed? Thankyou. Fold up and put away a pile of washing in the laundry I really don't want to do this. But I figure, instead of spend hours on the computer, I'll fold while watching a movie. Then put it all away at the end. Bugger. I really wish I hadn't thought of putting this here. Now I'll have to do it... ack.... Edit: I DID IT! OMG... Ididitididitididit!

try closing your eyes, counting to ten, opening them and dealing with the first out of place thing that catches your eye.. there's always -something- first before the brain goes into melt down.
or close your eyes, spin in a circle and point at something.
make a list, number it, put slips o' paper with the numbers into your hat and deal with that..
the trick is it almost doesn't matter where you start in the beginning.. just that ya do:>

The first thing I decided to start with is the dishes. We had no clean coffee cups. I started by sorting them out into piles of silverware, cups, bowls, plates, pans and then they didn't look so overwhelming just neat and tidy but still dirty piles. I'm starting with the dishes today out of necessity. The cat litter box should be followed by this.

???I really don't want to be accountable for doing anything. I seem to balk at the thought. If I make a list it's too overwhelming and and I think god, that's a lot and so don't even do anything at all. Is this normal? Can I still be in this group? Define accountability. Maybe I've got the wrong meaning or looking at it the wrong way.

sounds good i'm trying to find the joy in doing stuff.. i find i dislike and dread it far more when i think about it than when i'm actually doing it.. warm water and lots of suds isn't really too terrible most of the time for me.. random babbling, i need some sleep at some point

heyya clearwaterush- as far as i know you can't mess up listzilla or accountability partners. you can post that you "want to do something" and come back and post a list of what you have done. you can copy your list over from one day to the next, you can list a big goal and work on small parts of it, list a tiny goal and work beyond it... work on maintenance, one off projects, desqualoring..
i tend to use it as a list of- things i want to get done and reminders. and for the most part i don't expect to finish all of it on any given day. a bit oh.. hm melodramatic for housework maybe but i still like the quote for all of life in general- "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat"

Hi, Everyone! This is vacation completed plus two. I have two more nights to work, so here goes... worked all night load to washer put load in dryer fold/wear/ put away load sleep shower2shoes coffee dinner take one load of garbage to alley can go to work by 10:30 PM My usual working day...
