NOTE: This error message will continue to happen.
The only way we can get rid of it is by getting rid of the extra smilies plugin, which we are not willing to do at this time. The Closed label indicates we've gone as far as we can go on this problem, not that it has completely gone away. I'm sorry.

Fixed today! YAY to the proboards coders who fixed the glitch that was causing this! I just tested posting and editing from Firefox, IE, Opera, and Chrome (all same versions as before). The problem is now GONE!
I think you can mark this thread 'fixed'.

The extra smilies plugin, which caused the issue, was updated, Lion. I'm delighted to hear it is working properly.

Came across your site via Google... I'm having the exact same pop up problem using Windows 8 when listing on eBay. Hoping it's not malware (?). Be wary.

Thanks for your concern, Nic, but it is not malware. The behavior was a known conflict with a plugin we were using, confirmed by the professional tech staff of our forum host. When I turned off the plugin, the pop up went away. The plugin developer, an independent coder who is a member of the host community, found a fix for it and we now longer have this problem. Good luck sorting out your problems with Windows 8 and eBay.
