I haven't posted in quite some time, but have been meaning to. Another item on my ever-growing "to do" list that I keep ignoring. The less I get done each day, the more that is on my plate. And the more overwhelmed I feel. In spite of the worsening depression, I wanted to check in here and say hello. Especially because today, January 14th, marks my 35 birthday! Is the Birthday Club still active? Due to a lot of tension in my relationship with my boyfriend, I don't think he will be attempting to make today at all special/ different for me. I feel a little embarrassed to ask for a birthday greeting but honestly, I would really love one! Some things I truly adore now are my scruffy little black dog Brillo, and my sassy old horse Carly (who has CURLY hair! She is called an "American Bashkir Curly Horse"). I love the color pink, the scent of vanilla, pretty sunsets and nature, a nice cup of coffee and a good book, teaching (I teach special education) and inspirational quotes. Some things I hope will keep me motivated this year: a triathlon (swim/ bike/ run race) in about 9 months if I can manage it, and my pets needing a cleaner environment (dog, 2 cats, lots of ratties and 2 huge macaw parrots). I hope to rejoin my old soccer team, too. Thanks for any kind words or nice images you can manage to post. Today is starting out really rough, but I will do my best to mark my birthday in some positive way. I appreciate your help. |
