I was gonna print it and decoupage it onto a three legged coffee table I found in the alley. After decoupage goes on sale next year. Maybe. I really should hold onto it.

If we install super high shelves we can keep it out of the way and make it decorative only!

This thread is such a treasure and nothing in the universe will ever be this funny again, right? Perhaps some members might want to save this thread for their children? Yes, yes, that's the perfect donation destination. Our Because you know, grown children will definitely all want a discombobulated thread with some funny memories and chewed edges with tea spilled on it, right? In fact, I'm sure they'd want us to get it to them right away. I'll just contact the moderator of childrenofhoarders.comand tell her about the used thread that they just have to come pick up right now! They'll be so thrilled. Because you know, they don't have any threads quite like this. Well of course, proboards format might not fit their format, but, who cares if it actually fits or is useful. We'd be giving them a "treasure"! No no no!!!! We have to save it for 30 yrs until the kids have a proper thread of their own to put it on! And if they don.t cherish the way we think they ought to then we need to save it another 30 yrs til THEIR kids can it and appreciate it like we just KNOW they will!

Oh, no--we are not giving this thread to the kids until they have a proper place to put it. It doesn't matter that more than half the stuff I own is not in its proper place; the kids should do as I say and not as I do. And if we can't be sure the kids will ever have a proper place for this thread, can we really be sure their kids will take care of it? There's just no guarantee that our kids or their kids or any of the kids somewhere down the line will really give this thread the respect it deserves. Well, that settles it--we have to keep it. We're obviously the only ones that know how to take care of it and how special it is. No one can do it as well as we can.

I love this thread.
but its getting profound.
suddenly I am thinking of it in relation to whats in my kitchen cupboards. You know. The stuff in there I don't use and my kids don't want either. But maybe if I dared open and look there some good stuff in there too. I doubt it will make me laugh out loud though. Might gag, not be a gag in there.

If we keep this thread, we'll have to find a *home* for it.
Where to put it?
In some ways, it's *not* about squalor, but more about humor, so maybe it belongs on "Byways".
In some ways, it *is* about clutter, so maybe it should stay in the "Squalor Board".
Hmmmm ... how to approach this ..
We need to look at the *purpose* of this thread. We should store it according to its function.
Shouldn't its purpose be ... to be available to be hidden for months and then "stumbled upon" and "tripped over" randomly for a surprise laugh?
If we put it on "Favorites", it would be too hard to stumble over! Therefore, I think that relegating it to "Favorites" would cause it to fail at its function.
Oh ... wait ... I know ... the moderators could make a *new* category/board on the forums called "Important Stuff". and pile as many threads there as possible -- to the point of falling over! We could put all the threads there ... that are *kind of* important but not quite *favorite*. I can think of at least a few hundred threads that should go there. And then we could put this thread on that pile (provided of course that we continue to pile other threads on top of it).
Yes, that would work!

I want you to know that I came back to this thread for the sole purpose of raising the "views" count to 996.
Surely, we can reach 1,000 with it . . . !!!!

I am not looking at this thread, indeed I am not! I don't know what I came in here to look for actually. If you find it, let me know, or put me on ignore, whatevs! I was hoping to make an important, meaningful and uplifiting post for my 500th, but this is much more "me" don't you think? Wandering about in a trance, pointlessly posting whilst procrastinating, yep, that's me alright.

A few years ago, when I was pregnant with my first son, I had an email conversation with my stepdad from New Zealand. This conversation occurred in the middle of the night for me, so I was feeling a bit silly. It ended up being quite funny, so I printed it out to keep. I believe I still have it in my hutch drawer. I've nearly thrown it away several times, but I couldn't bear the thought of losing it and forgetting the humor. I may have tossed it the last time I ruminated over it, but I'm not sure. So, when I read this, I couldn't help being reminded of that very specific item. I really ought to get rid of that email if I still have it. Or I could scan it and save it to my computer. I should do that. Then I can throw it away. Thanks for the help!
