Laundry going to be done.washer and dryer going. Will be folding from eight to nine with family pitching in. I feel that I am not one wearing their clothes so they need to help.

Working on laundry today a bit at a time. I got a bit behind, and DD did some of her own stuff, and messed up my system--i.e, piling stuff in a heap on the folding table, and then stuff was on the floor and I didn't know if it was clean or dirty.
But I'm getting things back in order, slowly.

Going to work on Mount Laundry this weekend. It has been a huge struggle for weeks again. Let's put it this way .... I have been digging through clean clothes that aren't folded for clothes for everyone every day. And we find socks for my son to wear, but they may be a navy blue and black, tan and white or two completely different minion socks. But he's dressed. hahaha!! I did some other things last night but made myself fold a basket of clean towels that came out of the dryer. Will be working on many things after work. I have set a goal to do one basket of laundry after work. (I have a lot more that is clean but if I do at least one then I am at least no further behind if I wash more. But want to catch up of course!) I completely understand about things getting messed up and not knowing if clean or dirty larataylor. I have a pile of clean stuff in my bedroom that got dumped out of baskets onto the floor. Seems to stay in that area. But then my husband and daughter drop their dirty socks and pants on the floor in our room and they start migrating that way. Oh and I have a load in the family room I just need to toss back in the laundry room and rewash. I tossed it on the sofa in two weeks ago to fold and then my son threw the clothes all over the family room with the toys, shoved most of it under his train table. And then husband tossed it back on sofa. And now it's on the floor. *sigh*

I'm going to try the daily washing thing. Today I caught up with my clothes that needed washing.and now all is away. I'll try keep up, and do bedding and towels if there isn't a load of clothes. I'm weather dependent here so there will be times when I let it go. I'll try the smaller loads, so the whole putting away deal isn't such a chore.

Well I did nothing in the laundry department yesterday. I was way too tired after work. Napped a little, sat around a lot. *sigh* So now that I am done with my Christmas wrapping this am, I am going to shift gears. I have gathered up a ton of laundry I found in the living and family rooms. Started a load in the washer. Going to wake hubby up in about 30 minutes from a nap (one noisy child woke him too early) and then I will be able to work better on the laundry putting away, etc. Good job wynken!!!

Great work MamaAngie! My only laundry goals today are fold and put away what's piled high on top of the dryer. Then wash 1 load needed for tonight.

WTG thedreadedknock and wynken!! So a few days back, hubby and I folded and hung, folded and hung, folded and hung. We must've put away 6 loads of laundry. My wash was "getting there." But alas I pulled a huge basket out of oldest daughter's bedroom, got a huge basket in our room again. And now bedding is piling up again. My special needs daughter decided to take a soda can in her room yesterday and take it in her bed. So I have that to wash. Here are my laundry goals for after work/before nap: Fold basket of towels (was going to do last night) Fold & put away clean sheets from dryer Start load in washer - probably bedding Afternoon goals: Run 3 loads Fold/Hang & put away all clean laundry

Wow @mamaangie! 6 loads that's great! Oh wynken I want a clothesline so badly. But dh has yet to be motivated. Maybe in the Spring. Great work. Today- Fold piled laundry on top of dryer. Noticing a pattern here? Then put away those clothes. Then throw away musty towel.

thedreadedknock, you can get the musty smell out of towels and other fabric by washing them with a cup or so of vinegar and also put that much in the rinse water.
I have made a trip to the laundry mat today and all my clothes are now clean and dry. Now to put them away.

keeping up with the putting away is an ongoing problem. I was best when I could bring like things in together and put them straight away. thedreadedknock My clothes lines are strung between veranda posts, and also a section by the carport. The current models are do it myself. The veranda one then takes a triangular loop out over the garden with a rope tethering it to a tree. That part has become a high line that ddog uses as a running lead connecting point. I'm so glad of the knots I learned to tie at girl guides. imamess MamaAngie @ thedreadedknock.

Just waiting until the person sleeping in the room adjacent to the laundry room wakes up, then it's going to be laundry day!

The laundry got pretty terrible, but I've been working away at it. I've been holding back from letting washed loads get ahead of drying loads and having baskets of wet stuff sitting around getting crunchy.
I've got the folding table clear right now, and I'm resisting the urge to build a mountain of clean, dry stuff there. If I put away each load right away, I won't have to rewash things a few days from now because they're covered with cat hair and dander. Oooo … so smart I am.
It's helping to have shelves in the laundry room for DD's rolled-up pants, jammies, undies, etc. So no piling those up on the folding table, or piling them on her bed from which they may end up on the floor because there is not really room for them where they "go" … so now they have another place to go, right in the laundry room.
Overall, my system is better, the room is more organized, and we don't have way too many things. So catching up is going pretty well.
