I collected all the newspapers& catalogues in the pantry , 23 in total! all in the bin now. The other job I finally got done was to sort through mums papers and get out what I will need when she does pass away. I did that this morning and I've put them in her hatbox so when the time comes I can just pick it up and take it with me knowing everything I need is in it. It feels like a big weight gone to have this done and I know it will make it easier than having to go looking for them suddenly. (The big sorting of mums paper hoard was a lot of what I was dealing with when I first joined the forum so whats left is all in one small box - which I refer to as 'the emotional time bomb' box - i.e. stuff that I just couldn't face dealing with at the time)

I have a project of clearing my table. I could just sweep all the papers into a box - btdt and the evidence is now buried under box mountain volcano - so am trying to get it sorted this time - whats on the table at least. Today I shredded all the doc bills I could find that have been claimed. Recycle Binned a few other things.

April 20th:15 min. on 2013 Taxes. Filed some important papers. 2 papers "to be shred" 15 min. Going thru coupons. 110 into recycle bag. 15 min. Searching for 2013 Tax Receipts/papers - 2 books put in my room, 3 papers "to be shred", Found and put away some receipts/papers. 11 papers into recycle bag 2 papers into recycle bag CD

Spent 46 mins today filing and making file folders. I still have some filing and purging of old stuff to do but for now I have a filing system that is organized and clutter free. I will commit to working 30 mins a week on old stuff and 3 hours getting financial stuff in order.

today I found the concertena file folder buried in table box volcano - still in the wrapper. Spent 15 min filing. and tossing things on floor to bin or shred. I had stopped keeping up w paper completely when I broke my shoulder last year. I need my better habits back working for me. Today - it was all just going in the one file case. last years and this just sorted by type.. I need not to think to hard over things. much of the end of table things are in the file folder. My target was to finish tomorrow. Not sure if I'll make it or not, but at least I'll do another 15. Eating at table will be a reward when I get it spiffy again. Need pick up what I tossed on the floor hopefully today. bin day today. Might even empty the shredder. there are cards in it or it could be recycled.

I did another 15 min filing what was on table. Things pending are in first section. Some things are way overdue Put all the debris in a room bin. I will need go through it for recycle verses shredding. Its off the table. no longer scattered on floor.

wynken April 22nd -- 30 min. Shredding and decluttering. 68 papers shredded (most were from 2003, but a few from 2014), 17 papers into recycle bag, 2 big torn plastic bags into trash, emptied shredder. Put bag of shreds in garage, put big bag of recyclable papers in garage. 10 minutes on papers -- Went thru yesterday's mail. 1 paper filed, completed form & got it ready to mail, 5 papers into recycle bag 15 min. On papers & decluttering Dining Room table - Filed some papers, put crate trainer divider in Office closet & labeled what it is. 2 papers into Memories box, Iphone paraphernalia put in Office Supply Closet. Made 2 file folders. Plastic packaging into trash, 1 paper into recycle bag 15 min. Filing. 1 paper from 2009, Most from 2012, 1 from 2013. 15 min. Searching for receipts for 2013 taxes. Ended up filing a bunch of receipts & did find 1 for 2013 taxes. 2 receipts into recycle bag 15 min. Went thru papers from purse. Actually finished going thru that purse! Yay! Filed receipts. 1 2013 Tax paper found. 9 papers/receipts into recycle bag. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ April 23rd -- 15 min. Going thru old broken black, white & gray plaid purse. I loved that purse! A bunch of 2013 receipts filed, 1 2013 Tax Receipt found & put with 2013 tax stuff, 4 pens put in pen holder in kitchen, 1 chapstick transferred to my current purse. Great flashlight put by my purse to take to my car & keep in the glove box. 14 papers/receipts put in recycle bag. Also, paid 5 bills & put 9 more into recycle bag. CD

finished what I held over yesterday with papers, also emptied shredder. It may be a while before I access another box of paper debris. One layer is off that volcano box. I'll be back when its turn comes.

cleared away stuff from on top of volcano box of papers. It in now just a huge tub of paper - and whatever else was on the table once upon a time and got thrown in there.
I've taken to handing old out of date discount vouchers to cashier when I buy petrol. It gets them out of my purse. I did that today.

WOW did not realize that I had not posted since the 21st. I have worked daily to organize our paper life. For a couple of days I struggled with tackling our paper life for 15 mins, I found myself just shuffling through stuff and not accomplishing any thing. So I changed it up a bit, I set a goal to handle 1 piece of paper life 3 times a day. It has been very productive.

Got rid of quite a few paper type items, today: 3 hours 10 min. Spent on "land slide" = going thru 3 boxes & 1 pile that fell in the garage. Everything was from the following years: 1987, 1990 -1993, 1996-1998, and 2002. These 3 boxes actually had other boxes inside of them. Here is the list of just the paper type stuff:1 paper "to be shred". 8 small boxes into recycle bag 274 papers into recycle bag Torn, old bent up ream of 500 printer paper put in recycle bag 1 ledger pad full of notes into recycle bag 1 folder into recycle bag 1 Long print out into recycle bag 1 book into recycle bag 1 big box into garage to be recycled next pick up day 3 other boxes into garage to be recycled next pick up day 1 bag of papers into garage to be recycled next pick up day 1 soiled small box 2 crapped in boxes from old mini storage - some animal had gotten inside there. CD
