Dishes washed up from breakfast for four and lunch for four. I'm not used to cooking so much, but since I had washed everything last night, cleaning the kitchen after dd & family left wasn't as bad as I expected.

good job imamess and cleanbeeGlad you got visitors washup tended without too much bother imamess. ((cleanbee)) how many folks in your household? Hope you can make peace with food and its byproducts - washing up. Paperplates? Would they help? I specialise in one pot or frypan cooking so preparation things don't get too out of hand. I'm much more regular at the everyday nature of washing up. Waving to any newbies You don't have to be caught up to post here.

Ran dw yesterday. wynken. It's just me all alone dirtying all these dishes! I like to cook a lot so it's unavoidable. I've thought about paper plates but that would just mean more garbage and believe it or not I'd rather do dishes than take garbage out!

Have you heard of reframing cleanbee? Its about changing how we think about something. A sign above an old lady's sink read: I'm thankful that there are dishes to wash because that means that there is food to eat. A sign above a middle age woman's sink who, despite her own ill health, was bringing up her x partners 4 children with no support, and child welfare payments garnished to pay his creditors read: Just think how happy your enemies would be if they knew how much you were thinking about them. OK - the second is nothing about washing the dishes, but I guess she washed a lot of dishes in her time. Anyway - How can you change how you think about the dishes needing processing? I notice you have a dw. If you get the dishes rinsed and processed into the dw, none hanging around growing a potential science project, or the dish washer is run when full enough, or empty after it has run - I'd count them as done. Could you see if pots could fit in the dw as well? later Dishes washed tonight

wynken thanks for that I love the one about the enemies! I'll just think of the dishes like that But I think most of how I'm feeling is due to being so wiped out from work and the only cure for that is some time off to rest. Actually up until just a couple weeks ago I was really enjoying the whole keeping things tidy thing, because WOW it really is so much easier now than crisis cleaning or the digging out that I was doing just a few months ago! Anyway just two more days til vacation I think i unloaded the DW yesterday because it was mostly empty when I got up this morning. I'm losing track
