I wanted to clean the house today, which involves using the vacuum cleaner. DS worked night shift last night and he's asleep, so I don't think it's fair to chunter the vacuum cleaner around the house and potentially wake him up. So, I'm going to have a 27things Day. What's a 27things Day? In each room, remove/put away/throw away 27 things. Keep cycling through the rooms until there aren't 27things to deal with. I swear the number 27 is magic! Remove 27 things from a room and instantly it looks better, even if you only work in one corner. It's the most bang for buck that I have come across.
