Finally started on the vacuuming - I am embarrassed to admit that I found that the missing bit of the vacuum cleaner was there all the time (the retractable part of the hose). Oh well, I am learning stuff
I have also put some more stuff away, finished 3rd load of washing and have a new load in the washer.
I really need to get started on the guest room.

Hi jendela and lucie! We returned to standard time this night (I guess you too, lucie?), and so it's only 8:10 am. I had my breakfast, and now I'm warming my hands on a mug of tea. Don't know what will be next—I feel as if I'm developing a tiny cold .

Hi ladies ! I hope your not coming down with a cold, flotsam ! I've been very tired for a few days but yesterday I slept until 12.30 and today until 9(although it was really 8). I feel totally caught up on sleep now. Time to work on the house. My husband had to work in the afternoon and I always get a lot more done when he is away. When he is around I just want to enjoy his company in stead of run around. He is still in bed now so I've got the downstairs to myself. I'm dressed, the dishwasher and the washing machine are running and I've made breakfast. Next up; Italian practice (117/443) setting all the clocks to the right time If the weather is right, go for a walk.

Hi Flotsam, I well know the feeling of not being sure what to do next! My next job will be to hang the final load of washing, which is due to finish in around 10 minutes. I think this will be my last load for the day, as otherwise I am likely to end up with too much clean washing to deal with.
I do hope that you are not getting a cold. Maybe you need to take it easy today and look after yourself?

Yes flotsam, we returned to a normal time too. Which means I woke up at 5:15, as my body felt it is 6:15, time to get up I so wish they would stop changing the time. I just finished ironing, now I will let the clothes breathe a little and then fold and put them away. My downloading still goes on and I carry on listening to a book.

Lucie, I too wish that we had the standard time all year round. It's better for health. Hi gattara Thanks for the commiseration, jendela. I set two clocks to standard time (one still missing), called a friend, filed 14 papers and tossed 5. I also spent ten minutes searching for two papers that weren't missing. I had three papers in a wrong order and thought there had to be another two. No, I just had to reorder them. Next: shower.

Hi gattara, well done on getting both dishwasher and washing machine going. I hope you were able to go for your walk. flotsam, good to hear that you have done paper sorting and located the 'missing' papers. You are motivating me to considering a start on my piles of papers, however this will need to wait until after our houseguest. lucie - I admire anyone who is able to iron clothing in advance. I was never very good at that, so now I only wear clothes that don't need to be ironed. I have finished hanging my last load of washing to dry. Now I plan to make a herbal tea and relax for a while.

The weather has cleared up but D said he wanted to go for a run after he comes back from work, so I'll join him then.
Completed Italian practice, reset clocks, unloaded dishwasher, surfed the net. DH is out the door.
Next; make soup (asparagus vichyssoise) hang laundry look at style cure emails

"Morning" everybody!!! I slept unforgivably late again today. Most of my day is going to be spent on studying, I'm on a crisis mode with one book.
But I want to achieve few things today:
- STARTED wash dishes, wipe counters - wash 2 loads of laundry - iron everything that needs to - DONE book laundry room - DONE change all clocks to winter time
- selfcare: shower + exfoliating, hair mask + face mask, mini manicure and pedicure - DONE proper dinner
- studying (which I will be reposting and updating at the Student support thread)
The studying is going to take most of my time and energy, and it's on a top priority, so the bare minimum I want to achieve today would be:
- wash dishes - wash 1 load of laundry - change clocks to wintertime

Hey all! Have just finished sewing a dress for dd (and a t-shirt to go under it, fail, that and the leggings to go with it (double fail!) will now become a devil costume for Halloween and then pyjamas!) but now I need to play serious catch up. Get meat in oven for lunch. Sort out some sort of potatoes and vegetables for lunch. Empty dishwasher. Refill dishwasher. Shower and get dressed. Get kids showered and dressed. Put sewing stuff back upstairs. Put pattern away. Print out slouchy beanie pattern. Cut out hat. Sew hat.

I put away all clothes I ironed in the morning and now I am swapping the rest of clothes - those I did not have to iron, on the radiator, to make sure they are dry completely. And I washed today's dishes.
My morning download failed, so I just listened to my audiobook hten turned the computer off and now tried it again. I hope it will work now.

Hi to all newcomers Sorry to hear about the download failure, lucie. I had my shower, wiped down the tiles and the tub afterwards, had my dinner (reheated), saved data on an external harddrive and washed the dishes. Next: break.

I've been mostly studying. My dishes are soaking and I have been washing few everytime I go to the kitchen. Shouldn't be long before I get them all done.
