I've been taking it easy this morning, but I have run the dishwasher, fixed and cleaned up brunch, and bugged my daughter to clean her room and seen that she's actually making some progress. I've also poked around my dining room boxes and sorted a little yarn. I'm trying to come to the decision to just give all the yarn to a friend, instead of keeping some of it for myself. Realistically, if I decide to take up knitting again, I will want to buy new yarn in the colors and textures I prefer, I won't want to work with my deceased MIL's choices (we had different tastes). I think I've almost got myself convinced.
Next I'm going to put away my folded laundry.

I think I've almost got myself convinced. Congrats on all you've done so far. And I agree with the part of you that is ready to give up the yarn: there's no reason you should have to be haunted by your late MIL's aesthetic choices. I am feeling slow and l*** today; but I am also feeling tired of the dirty dishes in my sink, the lack of clean clothes in my closet, the accumulated garbage in the bin, and the cat-tree-sheddings and other debris on my carpet. The first problem is a chronic state for me, but the other four could be (comparatively) easily solved by: - washing the dishes - doing the laundry - taking the garbage out, and - vacuuming the floor. Okay, off to working solving 4/5's of my problems.

Done: - Four loads of laundry washed, dried, and put away - Garbage and recycling delivered to their respective dumpsters - One dishpan-ful of dishes washed - A decent sort of dinner cooked and eaten Did not finish all the dishes or even start in on the vacuuming; but getting all the laundry squared away is huge for me, and the above is really about as much as I can reasonably expect to accomplish a given day.

Spent 90 minutes ironing this morning and got all pieces done except for one big one that was not dry yet. All laundry is put away. Then made a desert, washed dishes, washed a load of dark laundry, had lunch, washed dishes... and finished reading a book. Time has changed last night, we are an hour ahead now and I hate it. I so wish they would stop changing the time.
Only thing left that I need to do today is to wrap a present, I will do it later. Otherwise I am listening to an audiobook and resting after all the hard work yesterday.

Ha! I have vacuumed at last, and the place is much nicer for it. I also swept & mopped the kitchen floor and washed all but the last few renegade dishes. Tonight, I might go ahead and clean the catbox and sweep & mop the bathroom floor, just for luck.

Ha! And double-ha!! I have done it: - cleaned the cat box, - swept & mopped the bathroom floor, - and cleaned the sink & toilet, - and wiped down the bathroom walls for cobwebs/flyspecks/assorted ick. That means that I've cleaned almost all the floors and fixtures in here. Except for the bathtub (which isn't bad) & that one last shelf in the fridge (which is kind of bad, but small) and some neglected overall dusting, everything in this apartment is clean! (Not organized, not by a long shot, but clean.)

I feel like I got so much done yesterday!!
I returned some items to the store....Did grocery shopping. Went to the bread outlet too! Did some stcok up shopping (extra cans of soup and ravioli and such).
Came home and cleaned the bottom shelf of the fridge and the shelf on the door. THey were the only ones I had not cleaned and they were prtty gross. Got old food tossed and tossed a moldy container.
Daughter re-organized the pantry that I had organized a month ago.
We got ALL of the groceries put away and ALL of the plastic containers from the fridge got washed and put away. (except the one I tossed).
THREE bags of garbage out to the trash. Hubby cut up the box the tv came in and that is out in the recycle bin.
SHredded papers and got even more stuff off the kitchen island. Found the fruit holder thing and put a bowl in it to help it hold more fruit (It is a round bowl shaped base with a hook for bananaas to hang at the top). My goal is to be able to serve dinner from the kitchen island. Or be able to sit at it to eat.......
bought a new rug for the bathroom. I still have to clean the bathroom but at least I can toss those scruffy beat up falling apart ugly rugs that dont match.
Hubby tossed some bags in daughters room (he was pissed she did not deal with them and he kept tripping over them) that caused a box in her room to tip over and items to break and spill. So she had a mess to deal with. It resulted in a box of stuff leaving her room and three christmas giftbags and tissue paper from inside getting tossed...YAY!! And for the record - he never tripped over the bags. If he sees something and perceives it is in his way (even if just visually in his way) he tells everyone he tripped over it.
I am starting a box of items for the church rummage sale in April.
I got my clean wash folded and put away. I still have a few items to iron. I can do that tonight since I have SOOOOO much room in the kitchen now!
I know I did more - Ijust can;t remember.......
Daughter coming home tonight to visit for hte week so I need to hustle home after work to get bathrooms cleaned and front hallway cleared out. I also have a box of items for her to take back with her.

I have washed all the dishes!!! (For this brief but shining moment) there are no dirty dishes in my apartment! In not-strictly-related news: The other night I was up way too late goofing around on the computer, and someone knocked on my door at 3:30 am. It turned out to be my 80-something neighbor, who couldn't find her keys and was locked out of her apartment. (Just what was an octogenarian doing wandering around the apartment complex just past three in the morning? I thought about this & decided that I didn't want to know, and therefore didn't ask.) The situation had the potential to become serious quickly, since my neighbor has COPD, had a heart valve replaced less than 2 weeks ago, and didn't have her oxygen tank with her. I asked her what part of the building she had been in, and retraced her steps with no luck. There is a "keykeeper" here who has a master key for just these sorts of situations, but she is not a particularly pleasant person even at the best of times. We had just decided to go ahead and bother her, and I had started off to the keykeeper's apartment when I had a sudden thought. I turned around, went back to my neighbor's apartment, and tried the door. Yes, it was unlocked, and the missing keys were just inside. We both got a good laugh out of that, my neighbor got her oxygen line on, and I went home and went to bed and didn't really think any more about it. Tonight, there was another knock at my door: my neighbor again. But this time at a very civilized 5:15 pm, accompanied by her adult daughter, and with a gift-wrapped 1-lb. box of See's candy to give me with their profuse thanks. Totally unexpected (and totally unnecessary), but very, very nice. And there was even one of those mylar helium gift balloons tied to the shreddable paper gift ribbon; so now not only do I have chocolates, but my cat has a terrific new toy.

Hi there Evelyn, don't recall if you are a Shorty and Kodi fan, they are two very lively cats who live in an apartment in Toronto. They get a lot of fun out of their helium balloon...
