Well I was up and at it early this morning, and I got off to a good start. Ran the dishwasher, tidied in the kitchen, enjoyed 2 cups of delicious coffee.
Ran a few errands with hubby, had hoped to get to dry cleaner and bank but did not . We did get a nice umbrella for out on the deck. This weekend he is building the desperately needed step outsider the sliding glass doors to the deck. No more huge step down. He is also building the frame to my little garden bed. These are ready things for him and just involve sawinv some lumber then nAiling it together.
I am tackling the net emptied bathroom. I just wiped most of the walls and the will Dow. I scrubbed the sink and it sparkles. I need to find a step stool to finish wiping the walls and ceiling. I got two small rugs. To put on the floor. I forgot how nicely I had that room decorated. Taking a break to throw in a load of laundry.

Hi openwindows - Let me know how the clothing organization goes. I did some things I needed to do online and now I have about 2 hours before work. I'm going to try to get a few things done.

Alright, put away 2 baskets of clean laundry. The laundry is more or less contained for now. There isn't a backlog, so I'm hoping I can get on a "normal" schedule.

The visitrs are gone and we have alreday put most things away and washed all dishes. Some of those that are not being used often are still out to dry properly before I put them away. So there is a bit left to do in the morning. Otherwise the visit was nice - we spend 4 hours walking round the ttown.

Wow, so nice to see people posting! Hello to TML, shells, openwindows, onblondie and lucie.
TML, I did do some work on my fridge this morning but did not finish, so lets get them done today, okay?
I'm home now for the rest of the day, I've had lunch and rested and procrastinated, so now I will commence working. I feel sort of aimless today, since the worst of everything is done--now I have to fine tune and clean. Maybe I should work some more in my messy 2nd BR. Or, continue my book project of going through my series books to look for some I can get rid of. Or...dust--it's time to do that too. So many choices.

So I opted for neatening up the 2nd BR, and I climbed up on a step stool to put something away into a high up cabinet, and the cabinet door (which opens downwards) fell open and hit me (hard) in the face. OW! It hit near the outer part of my eyebrow--I hope that's not close enough so that I get a black eye. There's a little swollen knot already, I put some ice on it but it really hurts. So, I'm going to do something that's easy for a while. That's what I get for tidying up. Diane

I made all of my meals today - nothing fancy but I did not go out for fast food at all.
Fed and petted kitty a lot.
I took a shower and actually got into real clothes (versus my lay about the house yoga clothes).
I also took stock of the laundry and discovered first mate kitty had made a cat bed on one of the slopes which means not only cat fur but some grains of cat litter too. Thus all of that has to be rewashed. That is what I am focusing on now - rewashing laundry, saving the rest of it (so kitty does not move to another slope), and working on the kitchen. I need to do paperwork too but time is moving on today no matter how slow I move.

Hi Serendipity, I hope you can add some time to your ticker tonight.
TML, good work on meal prep--that fast food adds up. Are you working on your fridge? I did one more shelf, so just one more to go. I also tidied a bit more in my 2nd BR (but stayed far away from the cabinet) and I got 3 phone calls in a row, 2 from clients and 1 from a friend in the hospital. So I did lots of gabbing.
I'm going to finish the fridge and then do my end-of-day jobs so they're out of the way.
Diane

Hello everyone Diane - oh no, ouch! Hope you don't end up with a black eye. TML - oh, the old kitty in the washing trick. Hmmm, yes, Lady P likes nothing more than curling up in a fresh pile of clean washing. Good work for making meals rather than relying on the takeout option. I have started by putting away the clean laundry and emptying the dishwasher. I got a decent pile of old papers sorted and out yesterday, but need to keep pushing through. Can't believe I came across some supermarket catalogues dating from December 2014 - obviously tidied up and then buried. OK, I need to keep going until I have completely filled the recycle bin.

Hi jendela--I don't have a black eye, it's already starting to feel a little better, the whole side of my face was aching for a while there but I'll live! I finished my fridge cleanout, straightened up two plastic food bins, and went through the last couple of day's mail. I also did my PM pet care and am almost ready for bed. While straightening up stuff in the kitchen I realized I still have too much stuff on my pantry floor, but nowhere good to store my microfiber stuff--so I have to rethink the pantry storage--ideally I need one more stacking bin set for the cleaning supplies, but I don't want to go out and buy one. I'll have to improvise somehow. But that's a project for another day. I hope everyone continues to have a productive evening/day! Diane

Hi Diane, glad you are feeling better.
I am focusing on paper again today - I have taken another load out to the recycle bin. Feeling like I might be making progress. I had best start some laundry while I have the chance.

Slow going with the paper, I have left myself get sidetracked into reading. But I have done some more laundry and some dishes, as well as getting a respectable amount of paper out of the house.

I erased the remaining evidence of the visit - everything is put away properly. And I reconsidered my box of possible presents and am donating some book which I realised would not be right as presents. I forgot to mention I even managed to do some garden work yesterday. The two girls (7 and 10) wanted to visit my garden after lunch, so we went there and they helped me to pick up all the fallen branches, bind raspberry canes, sow more grass seeds and pull out some weeds.
