Good night calypso, I hope you and your friend get a lot done tomorrow.
I'm just about ready for bed, I just need to spend some time with the birds. I'm really happy about the pigeon--he's getting better every day. Now when I approach him to pet him, instead of pecking at me, he gently nibbles my hand with his beak, and when I pet him, he relaxes and does this very slow blink. He still won't come up to me on his own, though.
I'm pretty happy that I got those stupid pants done--there's one more pair to go but I won't worry about those at the moment.
See you all tomorrow!

Good morning! Glad to hear you got your jeans alterations all done yesterday, Diane! I wish I could meet your pigeon. He sounds like a nice gentle pet. Did a load of laundry and hung to dry yesterday. Put them away today. This morning I started going through some old notebooks from 1996. I was recording every expense in these notebooks until 2008. 12 years' worth of notebooks to look through. Interesting but tedious.

dtesposito, I feel you about the jeans. I am very short and have to hem everything. Just got back from the gym and am eating breakfast. Then shower, and then I really am going to figure out the discrepancy between my check register and bank statements. I've been meaning to get to it for 3 days. And if that's all I do today, I'll count it a success!

Hi everyone. Lots if work getting done Diane congrats on your jeans. I am so happy that my bedroom curtains are DONE!!! Washing them has been hanging over my head for some time. It has been a long time since I washed them. It was easier than I thought as they did not need to be ironed which was a relief. There were a total of 8 floor length panels. So I took them down, washed them and also washed the inside window and window trim. I also washed the rods and brackets. Dried and rehung the curtains. Big check in the done column Also vacuumed the stairs and dining room and downstairs hardwoods. Dusted with spray and cloth the living room furniture. Have kept up with the dishes. Today laundry. Groceries. Church. Then off to watch the game. Right now updating my checking book. Chocolate truffle I too want a perfect balance. This month I am getting out cash to pay for things to decrease the number if transactions. Good luck all

Truffle, how is the bank rec going? Magda, good work on those curtains! Such an easy job to put off, I'm glad you didn't have to iron them. I'm home from my mid-day job, once again today I got a lung-full of dust. I spent an hour taking down a large cat cage that my senior client had up in one of the bedrooms of her house, and I dragged it all downstairs, cleaned up the floor around it and then moved some other things around in the room so there's more room to walk now. I tried to get her to throw the cage out because we tried to use it one time for a cat she found, but it was kind of falling apart and we had to tie the panels together in spots so the cat couldn't get out. After taking it apart I see the bottom panel is made of wood, which of course has been soaked with urine through the years and is warped--I told her no reputable animal shelter would take that as a donation since porous material is a breeding ground for pathogens, but of course, she thinks it's perfectly fine and usable and won't throw it out. At least it's not taking up a whole corner of a room anymore. I'm now waiting for another 15 minutes to meet a neighbor, we're going to try to adjust the light sensors in the back yard. I found an extension ladder in the basement but I will not climb up that high, too afraid of heights. So my job is to hold the ladder. After that I'm home for the rest of the day. I need to not get into "relaxation" mode, because I have so much to do today. I'll try to keep the relaxing to eating a late lunch and catching up on the news. Diane

dtesposito, glad there were no ladder mishaps. Well, I finally knuckled down found the discrepancy between my check register and bank statements, and I "found" a nice big chunk of money - I accidentally subtracted a few bills twice from the register. I also cooked some meals for a sick relative earlier this afternoon. Now I'm off to do the dishes. DD kindly made chili in the crockpot for dinner, so that's one less chore I have to do.

It looks like everyone got lots done today and I'm happy to report that Debbie and I also accomplished a bunch of tasks. Most where the sort of thing that goes so much faster and easier with 2 people. Even taking a hour to go up the street to the grill for lunch and we still did very well.
I'm too tired to list all the details and the pups need some dinner as do I and then it will be an early night for me.

Calypso, I'm glad you had a productive as well as social day, and truffle, I'm glad the discrepancy was in your favor--those are the best kind.

Sunday was FUNDAY!
Hubby excused me from going to the apartment to work. God Bless his soul!! So I busted butt at home. In no particular order: I ironed all of his shirts that were piled in the kitchen on the island. (Still have my son's to do)
Cleaned out the silverware drawer. Took the silverware caddy and washed it and got all of the crumbs and stuff out of the actual drawer. I took out all of the plastic ware and put that in the plastic caddy for hte plastic ware (I washed that out as well). I tossed the chopsticks. I mean ewww...who would want to eat off of them - they are wood and are probably filthy. I can always get more. And no saving them for a craft project. Like I said - I can always get more. I put the plastic serving spoons in the front. we are always bringing a potluck somewhere. the random stuff I did not know what to do with got tucked in the back of the drawer. But the drawer is so clean and empty looking! Plastic ware is neatly corralled if somoene needs one for a lunch or when we eat outside in the summer - we just grab the caddy.
I gave a quick re-org to the utensil drawer. did not wipe it out but got like with like in each of hte sections.
Loaded, ran, unloaded, reloaded the dishwasher.
Got the shredder up and running and shredded through piles and piles of mail. I got some boxes and started to clean up/clear out the LR. One box for each person. As I picked up something that belonged to someone else - I tossed it in their box. I banged through so many piles that the LR is actually looking so much better.
My DS got a car part in a HUGE flat box. I finally got him to part with it. Actually - I dont think he really wanted it - I just finally rememberd to ask him. that will go out in the trash wednesday.
I finished the last of the laundry - and already have another basket full!
I am at a point where I can vacuum the LR. Another night and I can roll up the carpet!
And I got all of this done by 4pm. I took a shower and got ready and went to a SUperBowl party. I will admit I am tired today but so happY!!
