Because these are so much fun, because it helps to laugh and see what creative alliterations we can come up with, because it helps sometimes to get to have extra places to post about our efforts, because it was a brilliant idea of cyn Unswamping and creativechaos to start the B thread, ... Here is the D thread. Not because we finished the previous letters, but because it is great help for me and likely others to post about and be cheered and encouraged on for doing these things. Also, because when I started doing decluttering on a drawer or adding 6 more items to the donation station, and I saw that I was writing about a bunch of words that started with D not B or C. Because when dealing with drawers, dressers, doom rooms, because it is is Behind Closed Doors and Drawers, the dent you or I made in the clutter is NOT easily Detected Because after you remove things from the Drawer, or even entirely empty a Dresser, the room looks the same, once the drawers are closed again. I vote by demonstration for Double Credit. That if I removed a bag of things from the Dresser Drawer, I get to post about a tidier Drawer here, and about the bag being filled in the B thread. Last night, for example, I helped my mom get quite a few things out of Dresser Drawers so she would have more space in those to be able to clear entirely out a Dresser that we want to let go of. She has 4 dressers in her bedroom here. Two Dressers have things of mine in there. So, I can get my things out of there. For the most part, because it is her room, I have not been getting too many things out of in there. We made a lot of progress in that room this weekend. One drawer of the Dresser in the closet is almost entirely emptied. We decided that about 3 of the things would stay in the Drawer, but the Drawer is now ready to be refilled as she would like it, with 95% her things. I also Decorated with paint pens the Frog House and we Decided that I should Decorate a lamp by coloring the flowers and vines on there with paint pens. I decided though, I want more clutter gone so that I can enjoy that Decorating project more. So here's to Double Posting for Double Credit. Especially for those areas that are not so visible.

My Dresser Drawers defy description. I am deathly dismayed at even deliberating on my desire to declutter the disasters.

The dilapidated dresser and its 3 drawers were dragged by us to the front of the house where we decided to then deliver it to the curb via wagon. A much more desirable way to deal with said dresser. (the 4th drawer was determined to stay put, so we left it in the dresser.
I got 4 things out of the other dresser in there. 3 to donate. One to make a decision on once I try it on.

I was listening to an organizing podcast today and was reminded of this thread-- they were talking about cleaning out a kitchen junk drawer, and used the phrase Dump, Divide and Decide. I'm going to try and remember that one! There is a lot of dumping, dividing and deciding that needs to be done at DustyDaughter's Den. I'm pretty sure it was the fifth episode down, called Weekend Warriors. Vicky and Jen What Really Matters, The Big O: Organization Series

Great job seekingpeace getting those donations dropped off!!!! I didn't get that far today. I only got some of the donations in the car today. That's OK. For some reason, after I got some donates out of the hall closet and doom room, I felt drained and dozed for a bit.
