There is another chat that some of us are using: us23.chatzy.com/SOAR and the password is SOAR Everyone is welcome there, too! The one here is "in the process" of being changed, so we're using this. |

FYI, there are non-SOS people at that chatzy chat. Also, what you type remains in the scrollback -- and your old typings are viewable by anyone who enters later on. If anyone chooses to go there, be *aware* before you type anything personal. I felt uncomfortable, so I left. For myself, I'll wait until Celeste has time to update the SOS chat. |

The Proboards chat is visible to the moderators here too, I think. And I don't know them personally.  I can vouch for using Chatzy for over 12 years with no problems. Sorry you felt uncomfortable Lion. |

Sorry you felt uncomfortable Lion. The moderators at SOS have stated that they have a policy to NOT look at the chat transcripts (even though they *can*). The only exception to this rule is that they look at it is if there is a complaint from a member. Then they use the transcript to verify who said what to whom in the conversation that is being complained about. If there are no complaints then the moderators discard all transcripts *UNREAD* 30 days after each chat (they say this in the forum policy posts). And regardless of that, I've "known" (virtually) all the current SOS mods since 2006 when I joined the former forum at SqualorSurvivors. I trust them with my privacy. |

Is it possible that an sos member is using a different name? I just closed clicked on the chatzy link and it asked me to create a username. So if i choose something different from my sos name, would i look like a non sos person? Just wondering. I dont want to use it if there are non sos people in there.

nifty50 it appears that this thread (and the technical help section) are in the publishing area, not the members only area. Which makes sense because if you are having trouble logging into the forum, you wont be able to post here and/or see the response. So maybe the chatzy link should have been put on a different thread in the members only area? tnmimi

I just had problems logging into chat. I fixed the issue and thought i would share it, in case it will help others.
Im on an ipad running safari. I went into settings and clicked on safari. At the bottom there is an option to "remove website data". I clicked on that. "Proboards" still showed up in the list. I had to click edit and then click the red minus sign, then delete to get it to go away. Once it was finally gone, i was able to log back in the forum and get into chat. I have had this problem before where i have had to manually delete proboards. As long as it sticks there, i cant get into chat. As soon as its gone, i can get in, no problem. I hope this helps someone.
