Done: Found the last portion of the rice pudding I made last week in the fridge and "processed it" into my stomach Used up some lettuce, radishes, apple and stilton to make a salad for my tea (eating now) Used my very limp rainbow chard to make the second recipe here: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/mar/11/dumpling-recipes-suet-lamb-stew-borscht-walnut-rye-chickpea-chard (currently bubbling away on the cooker) Washed up after myself Put stuff back in fridge so that I can easily see what needs to be used in the next few days To Do: Hang up laundry That's probably it for today though - it's already after 8pm

ccd, don't you hate auto correct? ("grime" for grammea-Helen) Put non currently needing piles on folding table sewing room in dining room for transfer to basement. Dusted table & contents started putting quilt project shoeboxes on fold table, exiting living room Shredded file folder size box 3" deep. Dumped the shreddings in bag, tied, to car for recycle. Also took bagged junk mail paper to car. Tossed chili in crock, had it for lunch AND supper. Supper, also made premixed scratch cornbread. Hand washed mixin's stuff. Cut strips of paper various widths. Sorted big pile of quilt scraps by size, 1", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", some for square in a square quilt, various triangles, some odd stuff into crumb/wonky log bin. Got agitated. Put sorteds all away. Then did a bunch more. Worked on house 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Feel like lots done.

Greetings, all.
Mousanne, congrats on powering through a standard work-day length sesh of desqualoring! You have accomplished so much. I hope you are tucked up and sleeping soundly now.
Ally, sounds like you're making excellent progress with your studies.
Me? Haven't posted in ages as the only useful bit of progress I have made in the past month has been to donate two big bags of books to my DD's school's book stall. I avoided attending said book stall last Sunday as I knew I'd come away with bags of someone else's donated books. The temptation is too great.
TA DA, all of which is just maintenance:
Laundry washed and hung out Recyclables out Bunch of mystery electronic cords in box to be shipped to XH.
TO DO
Urghh, washing the filthy kitchen floor, whose state I suspect makes the house smell. I'll have to break this tedious task into three:
Move dining table, shoe rack and bins Sweep floor Spray with cleaner and mop with steamer.

Minerva -- I feel for you! Bust out those hot water bottles. TA DA I did it -- swept and steamed the kitchen floor and also cleaned behind and under the fridge. It was vile down there. Some unidentifiable matter, years ago, must have oozed out of the fridge then spent the next decade merrily gathering fluff and dead insects. It took ages to scrub it off. However, I now know why my kitchen had such a persistent low-level stink. Now the source is gone, so all will henceforth be peachy. Moved furniture back, polished dining table, cleared out another bin's worth of papers.

Done: Put wet load of laundry that has sat on my kitchen floor since being washed on Saturday back into the washing machine to wash again <sigh> Cleared bedroom floor and surfaces (by piling to-keep/recycle/put away stuff on the bed and throwing away lots of rubbish) Dusted bedroom surfaces
Pulled all the rubbish out from under the bed (found a supermarket magazine from 2015 which is the year I moved here) Vacuumed the bedroom carpet (I think that's the first time it's been vacuumed since I moved in - my vacuum came over about a month after I first moved in and by then there was lots of stuff in there, so it never happened) Vacuumed under the bed
Threw away things that I have held onto for longer than a should have - the memory foam pillows that I have had for five years and that can't be washed, the bag of old socks and knickers that I've been half-heartedly waiting to donate to a charity that wants rags) Moved some things from bedroom to be taken up to be stored in attic room (where there are built in wardrobes) Put toilet cleaner in the loo to soak for a bit
The bedroom is the one place that I always feel I can close the door and have nobody see, so it's also always been the last priority when it comes to cleaning and has been very neglected. I'm so glad to be finally tackling it.
To Do: Hang up laundry to dry! Put on another load of laundry Deal with things on bed
