Saturday lunch time here now. The sun today is cheering, but of course showing up the clouds of dust.. One procrastination item crossed off the list today, I've sprayed the peach trees with copper mix, hopefully that will limit the peachleaf curl this summer and I was in time to do it before the early bees come out of hibernation. Today was meant to be an active outdoors day, but with a cruddy cold starting I'm on plan B . The washing is drying nicely, and I did have a quick trip up to the allotment to put things to rights after the winds we had a week ago.. On another positive note, having made myself do some washing up on the week, there was very little backlog to tackle this morning Next up is the small hall by the front door, just waiting for the floor to dry after mopping there, before wiping down the obvious smears .. So at least I can open the front door without flinching.. I guess most of you ate just getting breakfast, wishing you all some sunshine to get the motivation going for starting off the weekend with energy. Yes I know she keeps mentioning her book, but I'm Not going to add to the clutter by getting another self-help book..

First up, I need to:
put up dry dishes wash any dishes in sink hunt in the house for stray dishes to soak and wash
------------ more ambitious goals to aim for by end of day: clear and wipe down kitchen table and counters sweep living room and kitchen (might outsource to a kid) experiment with vinegar and salt degreaser on stovetop, etc

I feel like I'm treading water these days. Not much progress. Most of my house is clean and accessible. But I have personal problems up the wazoo. My husband is very ill, still trying to get an aide to come in on the weekends. Good thing is he does have an Aide Monday to Friday and a doctor appointment next Tuesday, with transportation all arranged. I seem to be doing the minimum, but I am keeping up laundry and dishes. I will make an effort this weekend to do something positive, such as get my tax documents together.

Jannie, having someone in the house who's very ill throws everything off--be proud of anything you can get done under those circumstances. I hope you're successful getting some help on the weekends. And good luck getting your tax documents together.

Hi jannie -- I'm so sorry your husband is ill -- I've done a lot of caregiving (99% family related, my inlaws, my husband and my dad and mom) and I know how stressful it can be. Keeping up with the minimum like dishes and laundry is a big accomplishment during such times! I found that in addition to taking baby steps toward other things that need doing -- it became important for me to do something small each day that I enjoyed like reading, crocheting or listening to one song even. Wishing you a positive day and time for yourself to enjoy one of your interests!! ~Chris~

Got all the dish-related stuff done and did some random PEEPing. grammea --- When I need to cajole myself into moving, I tell myself I'm just getting up to do a token gesture, like "put away dry silverware". I almost always do more than that bare minimum. Next for me: wipe down kitchen table wipe down counter google vinegar and salt degreasing formula/method and at least test it on a spot of stovetop or backsplash

hi everyone -- happy weekend! I am staying home (probably all day) and working on crafts and housecleaning/organizing -- alternating! DONE: * sorted laundry * shower * breakfast * started load of towels * cleaned bathroom including toilet, sink, mirror, floor!!! & mopped. * mopped front living room (husband did actually, I just made the mop water mix) * found colors/yarn for special project -- I'm going to make sets of 7 drawstring pouches with the 7 colors of the energy chakras: red, orange, yellow, bright green, Turquoise (bright blue), dark blue (Indigo), and purple. I was ecstatic to find that I have all the colors except for one: Indigo or dark blue -- which I will need to order but I have all these other colors so there is no rush. I was making a purple pouch for myself for my stones when I realized that before I open my Etsy shop (in June probably) I need to have some of these colors made up for people who might want them to put their crystals in. * removed one vitamin/supplement - testing how I do :'(I hate change but have to do something different!) There were/are multiple distractions today but I already got more done at home than I would have if we had tried to go to the rock show. The only thing recently which has gone well is staying off caffeine -- but I can't for sure say that is going "well" as I appear to be white knuckling it a lot -- and my moods are in the trash can a lot which could be because I used to rely on the caffeine to bring me "up" in mood at least once a day during the lunch/early afternoon time period. I know that by continuing to work on eating more healthy -- and staying off the stimulants and sugar -- soon my body and mind will be more stable and my energy will likely be much more steady. Next is clean my office (hot spot requiring twice daily work or else it looks like a tornado hit), continue with laundry, call Mom, come up with healthy lunch, and later healthy supper.
