I'm going now to make my donation at the donation only place. I am making room for more.

Thank you PerrinJade for the encouragement. Just got back from the donation only place. The back of my van was filled up. I'll be working in the garage today for 1 hour, hopefully I can clear a space.

jannie I hear you..I walk into my work studio, and can't even address the stacks of stuff here and there, wood stacks, granite piles, and get too tired to deal with it, knowing I can't even hire help as they have no idea where to put stuff. ( Imagine two hulking guys saying" OK lady where does this go?" I have no idea either!)
the CURB idea works around here... everyone 'dumpster dives' in most towns... when I lived in Chicago I lived in the suburbs, I LEARNED this behavior, and a lady with a van took me with her, we drove around late on night before-trash day. she ( and then ME) collected all sorts of stuff!!
I cleaned and fixed a cute old fashion rocking-spring horse (Blaze, the thing costs $180 online!) I dragged it home, had it for 3 years, then offered it to the neighbor's 4 year old who loves horses..I put it out for them to take, and someone took it that early morning for their kid (I hope) all that work, and I was so disappointed! I don't think the kid cared.

Well, most of the tote has been bagged up for donation but a few books made it to my bookshelf. Thats OK! Their time there is limited. I will do 1 more tote later on.

Already went through tote, only a few books back on my bookshelf but the rest ready to donate. I chose the next one while I was out there. Using the power of thought in the older phase of my life , instead of brawn. I actually see a little floor. Way to go H2H for getting all that paperwork out.

Halfway - some people use those papers as cat box liners Clumping cat litter and water eats a lot of organic material. There are various places that charge by the pound for shredding - office supply stores. If you have a friend that is a small business owner, they may be paying a nominal annual/quarterly amount for a shredder bin and would let you throw it in there for a lunch out That is what my mom does. We let our employees put their personal shredding in our company bins. Some communities have "shred a thons" - you may be able to find out about ones in your area from your recycling company or googling it and see who did it in the past (like the Scouts) and then calling to see if they have another one scheduled.

Phoenixcat..oh we have a shredding company all right..it the same jerk company who butchered my tree..
I thank you for teaching options people may find useful.
When I closed my bookstore I had 20,000+ customer files that needed to be secure, so I used that shredder co.
We barely have a STAPLES open here now, this really is a limited area in stores/services....but thanks for the thinking,
just one box is easily managed as I clip the info off the top while watching a movie..I was just nattering, and letting people what does not work (bleach, sun)

Hello phoenixcat and H2H Thank you guys for your support. It is trash day tomorrow. I have filled up a full wheelie bin and a recycling wheelie bin. I have one half full right now. It has been a very good 2 weeks for me...very active.
