Hi gifted and yrwelcome. I'm back to get focused a bit. I really like being able to post these small ta-das and to-dos and reading everyone else's great stuff is so helpful. I also like that when I am overwhelmed, I can say, well just do a few small things that you can post on WIT ... Ta-das: Scooped/swept litter box Cooked up chicken livers (with onion and bacon, smells so good) - the ta-da is that I cooked them instead of ignoring and letting them go bad, wasting etc. and now I have a few meals to look forward to. Took OTC pain reliever and vitamin I forgot this morning. Since last posting, have cleared out sink and washed up dishes as I go, keeping it clear. To-dos: Put chicken livers away once cooked. Wash pot. Cross stitch project - one hour. Try to get decent night's sleep - no work tomorrow due to snowstorm, hurray!

Hello all, I'm trying to make a comeback here, but I keep getting side-tracked. We are right in the middle of a major snow storm, which is distracting in itself! A couple of days ago they were predicting 2-4 inches, we already have 8-10 with a few more hours of snow to go!
ta-da's: Emptied the dishwasher Loaded the dishwasher with the stuff from the sink Made some meals
to-do: Start laundry Do some Spanish homework Check what I need to do to register for the fall semester. The university I have been attending (online) is being merged with another so everything is changing
Also Go out and take some photos, check the chicken eggs, shovel out my car. Pack up some meals for the next 2 days sort vitamins into daily pill organizers...

Ta-da: Kept sink clear/washing dishes as I use them. Placed the last of "old" dirty dishes in sink, started clearing other stuff off counters. Scooped/swept litter box, cleaned up two new cat messes from floor immediately. Changed trash bag in kitchen; put full bag in mudroom to go out.
To-do: Wash the dishes. Set timer to work on kitchen clutter (it's sort of a gigantic hotspot on table and floor). Clear clutter from computer area/dust. Vacuum/dust living room.

Ta-da: Washed all dishes I could find in kitchen. Sink is clear. Decluttered computer area/wiped down. Realized keyboard and mouse are pretty raunchy and need to be replaced. Sprayed down section of counter, wiped down. Spray again, letting soak.
Put bowl with water and splash of vinegar to boil in microwave. Emptied living room wastebasket, lined with bag, replaced. Put lined wastebasket in laundry room.
To-do: Order new mouse and keyboard, and b-day gift. Wipe down inside microwave. Scrub glass tray. Wipe down counter in front of microwave.

Thanks, Ally! Great job with the snow shoveling - I am avoiding that as long as possible! I like your snow covered fountain I did not realize photos could be inserted here - I may take advantage of that feature sometime. Ta-da: Washed the big, glass vases with soapy water. Inspected top of neglected hutch. Made effort to clean the 9 or so years worth of dust/dirt on top with Pledge multisurface twice but resorted to cloth with warm soapy water to get it all off. Dried with paper towel. Got some of the big dirt off other parts of hutch with quick wipe down... Ran vacuum over throw rugs in living room but when I tried the bare floor, dirt flew around including in between my toes (eww but whatever , wearing slides with no socks)..shook out one area rug, then used broom. Not deep cleaning, still in 'remove big particles' mode around here. Also, emptied tank from vacuum. Important part of task completion, as I often will do part of a task and not finish. In other words, that full vacuum could sit for months etc but now is ready to use again. To-do: Dust/polish living room. Run vacuum on small part of dining room and see what happens. (It's got cat hair etc coat but before I rip it up, trying to get big stuff up). Kitchen declutter with timer - just a few minutes.

Ally This is a fountain that DH inherited from his parents. (image)That is not a fountain it is a 3 tier WEDDING CAKE!! only thing about being on west coast is missing the snowfalls, but then never had to drive a car in the worst of it as I was a kid. Have been capturing amazing snow images today.. Love the Amish/Mennonite one!

Ta-da: Put away dishes from dish drainer and a few things from counter. Dusted/cleaned surfaces in living room. Tested out vacuum in dining room. Not going to work. Plan B will be take up carpet in pieces in current condition. Or maybe shop vac. Returning to this task another day.
Cleaned old wax out of Scensy, wiped down. Put new wax in, "Lemon Sugar cookie" scent.
Gave myself permission to throw out a very nice Keurig that was a gift from a loved one, only about 3 years ago. It is no longer functional, I have gone through many trouble shooting efforts, water is still stuck inside and I just can not waste another minute on it. Truth is I don't like the expense and waste of pod coffee but since it was an expensive gift from a dear person, have been reluctant to part with it, even though it does not work! Just collecting dust, literally. It is now in mudroom waiting to go to dump (appliance section, hopefully they recycle it some how).
Took lots of breaks in between.
To-do: Clean out cat hair/dirt stuck in vacuum. 10 minute declutter in kitchen. Eat dinner.

I hit the wall and am getting grumpy, so I am done with cleaning tasks for the evening.
Ta-da: Turned vacuum on side but saw that the problem also involves hair/threads. Will address next day off. Decided to clean hutch and contents from top down. Washed china from top shelf, put in dish drainer. Did a few timed declutter sessions in kitchen and got some things gone/put away. Ate dinner, washed those dishes.
To-do: Read a chapter. Relax, bath, bed. In morning, move dried china into a box temporarily while working on hutch in coming days.
