Dear Mods; I want to start a photo thread that is NOT squalor related; probably it'd be more of a garden/art thread, since people keep asking to see pictures of both things that I love to do. Where would I put that thread - byways? Is the photos section mainly for squalor and cleaning-up related stuff, or for any subject? I do want to honor board policy. And, since I don't want to take up a ton of space on this Wordpress forum, only to have poor Celeste have to delete things, should I NOT insert attachments? - or if i do, how small should they be? is it best to use a photo hosting program rather than attachments? Any recommendations? (it has to be FREE photo hosting; I'm poor.) Any technical guidelines and policy guidelines, feel free to tell me! I know this is a lot of questions; maybe the answers would help someone else thinking of posting maybe a lot of photos. Thanks in advance. cc Nov 13 -- ETA: tagging Celeste - maybe you know who can help answer this stuff or point me to where it's already been answered in another tech thread or link; thanks!

Hi CC. Just a thought... Since there are many non-squalor photo threads in the Photo section, why not add a thread of your own there? Then when you want to make sure folks see new pics, you could post a heads-up on your blog with a link to the new stuff.

creativechaos, it sounds like your photos could go into the photos thread or by-ways or a blog thread. In the photos board, if someone right-clicks an image, a warning appears that the image is copyrighted. That's the main difference between that board and any of the others. If you upload the images as attachments, that's fine, but they may be deleted without warning if we start running out of space. I have no recommendations for free hosting, unfortunately. However, if you find something that works with proboards, you can use it. If only people who also have accounts on the hosting site can use it, it may be worth mentioning it: "images hosted on ____, which requires a login to view them."
