See, I do get things done in WITS, but I am kind of not so good at setting goals and then doing THOSE goals!!! ! Hopefully you can all bear with me! Me too. I usually discover that doing one thing means I have to do at least two others first. To dahs * washed the stove, table, cart * cleaned water fountain and litter box * fed cats (edited to show that I know the difference between present and past tenses)

Hey, Hypatia, good going on the dishes and laundry!! Those are two of the most important tasks you can do. Somehow when they get out of hand, the whole house gets out of hand. So, WTG Hypatia! tadas: *did dishes *cleared off table *sorted and shredded mail *made dad lunch todos: *clear kitchen counters (i.e. put away cans and jars in cupboards and get rid of recycling overflow) *make dinner and clean up afterwards *made a list of things that need to be done (I am not sure if I am ready to post such a list, but I feel I need to at least make one now.) Off I go!

Hi Syzergy Welcome to this website & to the WITs thread... Wow! you're off to a great start BTW, it doesn't matter if spelling, grammar, punctuation is correct or not...the idea is just to get something done or at least move in that direction...even thinking about doing something counts here in the WITs. Also, you don't have to post the todos... and you certainly do not have to do the todos you posted. We get side-tracked, life happens, or like you said...sometimes it is necessary to do a couple other things to get the one thing done...etc. The idea of posting the 3 things was just an attempt to help when one has no idea what to do and/or seem overwhelmed by how very much there is to do and as an alternative to posting a long listzilla. It was just meant as a starting point... Nothing written in stone that says you have to do those three...nor do you have to post the todos. This is a thread that is great for newbies, lurkers to get started in, those overwhelmed, and well, just everybody. Glad you are here! Tadas: 1)dressed2shoes including contacts, hair, teeth, lipstick, perfume 2)moved load of laundry into dryer 3)put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard Todos: 1)unload dishwasher 2)wash all dishes, pots, pans, skillets. 3)put load of laundry into washer CD

Yay! Woo hoo for all the work getting done!
Ta-da's! I DID get the jeans in the dryer, and folded laundry. I DID get the toilet cleaned...the main one anyhow. Also...cooked dinner, fed the family, put away leftovers.
Did some other family stuff, and helped dh a little (he was fixing my car). All in all, a successful day.
Lots to do tomorrow, too!

Thanks, Peg, Hyp, Crazy, Artsy, West, Hopeful, and Syzygy!
OMG, that sounds like the Seven Dwarves of SooS ...
Ah, and Fuzzy and CanDo wrote in on Page Two. I guess Dwarves, Inc., is expanding ...
Anyway, good job to all of you. It sounds like Saturday is laundry-and-dishes day for many; isn't the smell of clean laundry special?
TaDas: --Yes, I took out that smallish bag of trash! --And I got ... not quite 8 hours of sleep, oh well. --Did the shower (took one, that is; maybe I can clean it during the week). --Oh, cleaned out the toilet. The bowl brush makes me brave. --Did the logging on (here I am). --Also, went to rehearsal and did Act II OFF BOOK (memorization is one of my little phobias ... What if I screw up, says the voice of Stinkin' Thinkin'? And then the answer is ... well, nobody's going to die or even get hurt if I do! Yay)! Happy happy.
ToDos: --Sleeping again (funny how that keeps coming back) --Fill another small trash bag from desk area --Keep copying Musetta's lines into my notebook (memorization tool) --Fill a small trashbag from front hall area (I can smell something unfortunate there related to the bottom of a cat, darn it).
Thank you so much for being such a great community. It means a lot to have you there; I feel like maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to get this stuff under control if I just keep checking in and chipping away at it ...
Nighters to all, and a happy tomorrow!
