Hey oust! I like using up food to make unusual combinations too. Sometimes it doesn't work, but most of the time it's delicious.
Next:
Hang clothes up from dryer Wash some cat food dishes 5 minutes on box of paper Empty dehumidifier tank

Yikes. I got a notice from the water Dept that they are having trouble reading my meter and want to set up an appointment to fix this issue. Ugh, dies that mean they have to come inside?

Ugh, dies that mean they have to come inside?Call and ask them--you can tell them that if they have to come inside you'll have to arrange a time for someone to be home. Tell them you'll call back when you know a time. Then ask what area they would need access to so you can make sure the way is clear for them. That could mean a few boxes stored nearby, so don't worry about telling them that. Then if they do want to come in, that will tell you what your next decluttering goal has to be! Do you have a basement? You've mentioned an attic several times but I don't remember you mentioning a basement. After my last list I decided to work on the box of papers from the plant room. I have reduced it to one thick file folder full of things I can look at later. A large pile to recycle and a small pile to shred. So I can throw the box away and put the file in my file cabinet to get back to...someday. At least there isn't a box taking up space in the plant room any longer. I'm stopping for lunch and a long reading break! Diane

Diane I do have a basement. And they are usually messy in most houses. So I can let them in the back door with the excuse I need to keep the dog in the rest of the house So all I have to do is shove the kitchen crap in the LR...... They can walk through a clean kitchen to a messy basement an I can get the dryer fixed too!

After lunch I wasted some time looking at succulent company websites. Then my sister called. Little things happen and they seem really big to her because she's sitting at home alone all day--the way she starts out the phone call I think something terrible has happened, and it turns out to be some minor annoyance. Which is good, except that to her it seems like all kinds of bad things are happening to her. I turned off the dehumidifier after I emptied the tank for the second time, it had gotten it down to 60 percent in here. But now that it's off it's getting really uncomfortable again. I have a program I like to watch at 5, and I can hardly hear the tv when the dehumidifier is running, so I might wait until after my program. It is currently 89 degrees outside, 80 degrees inside. I think my focus until dinner needs to be the LR, it's messy, including my computer desk and the chair at my main desk. So I'm going to try to take baby steps--pick up one things at a time and figure out what to do with it. The cats have both been sleeping for a few hours so they're due to wake up demanding food and attention soon! Diane

magda thank you; yes I'm sure they were all very scared. The rest all seem to be in a bit of a shock. A swamp cooler is our term for an evaporative cooler. They don't work where it's humid but they work very well with low humidity. Basically a ventilated box with removable sides which hold pads; they used to be made of excelsor, now often some type of paper or plastic, looks like it's all shredded then compressed but not too tight. Big fan and motor inside and a little water pump. pumps water up to the top of the pads tokeep them wet. Fan sucks air through wet pads and blows it into the house, the water evaporates in the process and the air cools. My house stay pretty cool until it's over 105, then it will stay about 80-85 indoors. It works less well when the humidity is over 40% but that doesn't usually happen unless it's trying to rain. Diane i worked half a day today and have been mucking out wet chicken pens ;-) I work a full day tomorrow. Next week I'm only scheduled for one day. Still having issues with the PC and the mouse; may have to call a friend of mine and see what he suggests. It's like the mouse cursor is froze in the middle of the screen. The computer recognizes the chip for the wireless mouse but it's not moving the cursor. So mostly cleaning out wet pens this afternoon, much cooler today! Will have to go deliver eggs and pick up feed later.

Well, started a huge project and almost finished it. I decided to clean out my pantry shelves. I discovered two cans had exploded/leaked.
I cleaned up the mess and tossed easily half of what was in there. Expired cans/boxes. Some were three years past their best by date.
I moved my glass mixing bowls to my shelf dedicated to baking. One shelf is canned goods.
It is so organized! I can keep better track of what I have when I can see it and access it!
Now I am back to bed curled up on the heating pad.
And I did two sinkloads of dishes.
And a load of laundry......
Must look at LR tomorrow and do something there

But I'll google and see if i find anything. Wow ohblondie! you are on a roll! Take care of your back! OK, work is done, chores done, eggs delivered, feed bought and unloaded. Going to make some dinner and work on the kitchen a bit.

So you guys are getting a lot done and my late afternoon and evening have been a total waste. My shopping friend called, 1 hour and 45 minutes, I finally had to tell her I had to go. Granted, we hadn't talked in a while, but that's too long. Then my sister called again with a specific question that I had to look up for her, and had to tell me everything she did since we talked several hours ago.
I ate dinner, and repotted a plant that desperately needed it, and now I'll have to get ready for bed. The living room is still messy.

ah but Diane you have accomplished a lot more than I have lately!
well cleaning the mouse was a thought but no go. It's almost like it's stuck in the spot it was in when the old mouse died and can't get out. I'll have to check with my geeky friends and see if they have any suggestions. Part of my issue too is that i don't use a lot of keyboard commands so very hard to navigate without my mouse!
I made dinner, did 15 in the kitchen just picking up trash and washing dishes. The sink isn't super clean but I washed out the dish pan and wiped out the sink which is more than I've been doing lately. Going to take a shower and go to bed. Working a whole day tomorrow

Good night mary and magda!
I'm finished with everything except night time meds/feedings.
I was waiting til the last minute to feed the birds, because I put some pellets in their cage and I wanted to give them time to try them. They are so funny, they are reminding me of my aggressive budgie that I had several years ago--I used to put a few pellets (instead of seed) in her cage, and she would get all huffy and she would sit on the food cup picking each pellet out and flinging it to the floor--not dropping it, but throwing it! Then when she was all done and the cup was empty she hopped up to a perch and looked all proud of herself!
Well, I got a free sample of a different brand of pellets so I put some in a food cup for these birds. Two days in a row, I come back and find all the pellets on the floor of the cage, and one side of the food cup has been lifted up so that it's hanging sideways. I really, really want to see them doing this--they must really hate these pellets, they are not only dumping them on the floor they are trying to throw the whole food cup on the floor too! These birds don't like to do anything in front of me though, they wait until I leave the room, or at least, am not looking directly at them.
I just opened the windows and it has gotten cooler, thank goodness, at least for the night.
Tomorrow is supposed to be really hot again, and possibly rainy too. Then the day after, cooler for a couple of days.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!
Diane

Oh Diane - your birds sound like little children - I enjoy hearing the stories.
I went home and alternated laying down with my chores. being able to lay on the heating pad was helpful. I have to figure out how I can do that at work. I am getting a standing desk - so I am hoping that helps.
I cant leave work early today as I am covering for a couple of offices so that people can go to training. So I am taking Advil for now.
OK - time to take an online meeting....
