I had my left leg "done" today for bad veins. Much less invasive than my Mom had, back in the day, when she had hers "stripped."

Thank you so much doodles My left leg doesn't hurt me as much as my right leg did. I am so happy to be getting caught up on all of my appointments!! I will be seeing my Primary Doc and also turning in my food diary. Hopefully I have lost 10 pounds by that time . I also need to make an appointment to see the Ophthalmologist.

I go to get my left leg sonogram (to see if the procedure they did on it was successful) today. I go to get a follow up with my primary Doc. on Wednesday. (think: turn in food diary) On dental fronts: Still no word if insurance will pay for my dental implant. But, there is a chance they will pick up 50 percent . I made an appointment with the ophthalmologist can't get in until January. It's worth it ..she is the best around!

great thread, def6! You have done so much with the appointments and all the work on your body - that is wonderful. good health is a big part of happiness and true wealth, i believe. (not that i'm any good at taking care of myself but i know this) Way to go everyone on taking care of your bodies!
did some stuff last year. all it did was reveal hidden health problems i didn't know about. guess i just got depressed by all of that.
i'll be an enthusiastic cheerleader for now.

Thank you creativechaos I think turning the big 50 last year was the motivating factor for me.I just want to hold on to what I’ve got health wise and maybe try to improve my weight , and activity level. Plus, doing these appointments back to back has allowed me to progress to milestone type tests like the colon thing and the menopause test. Much needed here. I just saw my primary who specializes in women’s weight loss. I turned in my food diary for a month . She said it looked good but there was room for improvement.

I see my primary Doc. in three months. I'm still doing a food journal. I will receive a booster for shingles at the pharmacy and a B12 shot. Still waiting on insurance to review my need for a dental implant. I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist the 1st week of January and last but not least; I need to decide on whether to go to my allergist or choose another one and make an appointment to talk about taking shots for my pet allergies.

I need a booster shot of support and accountability, as I am now in a caregiver role, and it's already so time and energy consuming that I am challenged to keep up with the dailies, let alone get ahead. So.
TO DO: (some of these things I might be able to work on hanging around waiting for DXH while he is getting infusions) make dermatology appointment make neurology appointment make colonoscopy appointment
email pdoc email tdoc

Hurray mylittlescholar for planning to make all of your appointments while you wait. I still have to go to the vascular doc for my left leg (no biggie) and the eye doc.

Okay, I have started a treatment for a derm. issue and have made an appointment in case that doesn't clear it up. One down!
That inspired me to email my tdoc and request an appointment. Two down!

DXH has this week off from appointments, so I made some to see my GP, pdoc, and tdoc. I still need to make that neurology appointment, but this is a start.

I want to get my veins done. I pay out of pocket for most of my health things, as I only have major medical insurance. But I would like to find a way to do it.
