Happy Halloween, WITty peeps I have a sense of time slipping away from me. My sleep "schedule" is all over the place, not helping. Ta-da: Long work day, including emotionally draining training. Logged food, even though I am eating too much. Slept 4 - 5 hours? Fed cats/fat cat meds. Made coffee/snack. Brought books down to desk. Lit candle. Wasted 20 minutes listening to music, on nostalgia trip but probably not in a good way. Just distracting myself. To-do: 4 hours reading/coursework. Scoop. Sleep 5 am - 11 am. Get ready for work.

I'm new here as of today! Great job everyone! I started a blog to get myself going and I am now familiarizing myself with the various categories and threads, etc. I really should be asleep right now, but as usual, I dozed off earlier this evening and am now wide awake! I love Listzilla! One of the main things I am looking for by joining this group is doing challenges and taking action with or among others who are also struggling to get things done. I also love the idea of Working in Threes (I'll be very careful not to succumb to Whoring in Trees ) I have been using various timing methods for years which has been helpful. But WIT seems like it will also be helpful - just doing a few concrete tasks no matter how small really starts to move things along. In my bedroom I just did: Gathered random pieces mail from my bed and put in paper pile in another room. (I've been sleeping with said mail for at least a week) Threw away an empty dental floss container that was also on the bed Picked up a sock that has been floating around my room for probably a year. It had a little bit of crusted cat puke that I wanted to brush off before adding it to laundry. I finally picked that sucker up, took it to the bathroom sink, scraped off the dried dirt, rinsed it off and put it in my growing laundry pile! Then I sorted laundry for three minutes. I don't have a W/D at my house and I really hope to do laundry at some point on Friday. I haven't gone to the laundromat in a month. Doing all the steps it takes to do the laundry is so overwhelming even though I've done it a million times. Going to do three more things: Fill out lost envelope that I just found in my laundry pile. I wanted to buy a small piece of art at a show about a month ago, but I didn't have my checkbook. The artist was fine with me taking the piece and sending her a check. I wanted to shake her and say "no!" - don't trust me! I want to pay you, but the reality is that I probably will never get around to it!!! Save yourself!!! I really should have said no, but I didn't. The other night I finally went into my office and found a usable envelope and a return address sticker. I then promptly lost the envelope and I have now found it - yay! Just remembered that I filled out a check a few days ago at work, so just found my purse and got that out. I also found the card with the artist's address, which I somehow managed to keep in a zippered pocket of my purse so that I would not lose it. Ah, should have taken a photo as back up! So, very long story short - going to fill out the address on the envelope. I actually picked up a few things when going to get my purse, so that finishing up the three. Ok, envelope is filled out. I managed to find a piece of scrap paper to write a note and the check and the note are in the sealed envelope. Even found tape to secure the envelope, which is now on my front table to remind me to stop at the post office to buy a stamp and mail it. What a relief that will be to cross off my mental list. I also just found paperwork for my driver's license renewal, which expired a month ago. It was in a pile of notebooks and papers that I have been dragging back and forth between work and home and never looking at. I got pulled over by a police officer on my way home from work today! She had scanned my license plate number and found that my license was expired. I said that I was going tomorrow (I live in a rural area and my local DMV is only open once a week and I just haven't made it happen). Thankfully she only gave me a written warning, but was teetering on the edge of a fine when she realized that it was a month overdue! Motivation to get it done tomorrow. I am going to put the paperwork on the table next to the envelope. Well, this has gotten a lot more long-winded than I had planned and is not very listy! Guess I will try to get to sleep now that it's 2:00a. Glad I got a few things done!

Welcome, seahorse! Great work with the bedroom tasks, laundry sorting and finding important papers I can definitely relate to laundry issues! I love the WIT thread and tend to mainly post here but I know there are so many helpful lists, threads, blogs and other areas of the site that are worth exploring! One of these days I may branch out Ta-da: Watched 4 lectures. Closed up living room wastebasket bag; combined with kitchen trash. Scooped. To-do: Read article. Work on assignment. Bed.

I'm unexpectedly home this evening and about 95% of me wants to waste all evening lying around with my laptop. Going to see if I can motivate the other 5% of me to do at least one threesome. I will: Put away food used to make dinner Clear off sink Find cleanser and a sponge that could be used to shine my sink (a la Flylady) if I am so inclined at some point. Wow, I really don't want to anything! But here, I go.
