Good afternoon CC, sorry about the hip trouble. Yes, I would guess gardening would be hard, you have to crawl around on the ground, or at least bend over a lot. Sounds like you're going into a busy period with the cat sitting, just keep posting--make yourself do just one thing that helps your home and then post. No one has lots of extra time if they have a period with outside obligations, just stay connected enough to start again when you're back to your regular schedule.
I've stopped for lunch, I will probably take a reading break after eating. Part of the reason why I stay up too late is because I don't have reading time during the day so I don't want to put the book down at night. I'll see if going back to regular daily reading breaks makes me able to sleep earlier.

I had enough of the kitchen I did not get my reading break, my sister called while I was eating and I just decided to talk to her right then because I have a 3:00 cable news show I would like to watch. While watching the show I'm going to clean out my pencil drawer on the main desk. It gets messy really fast. If I finish that I'll look for something else to do while watching. I keep working on LR stuff, but then I start something else, so the LR never looks any better. I need to get down to business and clean this room up. Diane

Wow - this day has just flown by. I cannot believe it is time to go!
I responded to a posting for my apt for rent. They were the first to reply and seem like a quiet couple. I am taking them through the apartment tomorrow night.
I have my schedule for the week all ready. I booked my room for the weekend and it has a kitchenette. So I will need to get snacks for the drive down, and non-perishables for the weekend. We will get refrigerator stuff when we arrive.
OK - time to get going home.

Okay, my show is over, I did clean out the pencil drawer and have some odds and ends from there to put away elsewhere. I also did a cat feeding, and worked on my plants--that room is right next to the room with the tv so I can listen from there.
Next:
Put odds and ends away Sterilize dish sponge Wipe out microwave Wash first pan of dishes

Hello lennon! I ended up getting involved in books again--I have enough books set aside to be able to send another box to the new site, I'm a little nervous about sending in another box without getting the money for the first batch, but I guess that's silly--they are an established site (I'm calling them a new site but I mean "new to me"). They don't pay much but at this point I'm happy to get anything. I'm going to stop and have dinner now, and try to do something useful while eating. Diane

I tried twice to order stamps online for my sister and myself (very cute Halloween stamps are out in a few days!) but it keeps telling me my address is invalid. I remember this happening once before but I don't remember how it resolved. I sent in an email, we'll see how long it takes for a response.
Next:
Scoop litter pans Check locks Feed parakeets Go downstairs for mail

Also, I sometimes have problems because my actual town's name is not the same town as my servicing post office. I live in a suburb, so let's say where I actually live is "Smithtown", PA. which is a suburb of let's say "Jonesboro", PA and the PO that serves me is IN Jonesboro. The PO makes me use "Jonesboro" as my city, instead of the town I really live in. You might want to plug in your street address and let them find the rest of it for you.

Good morning def and SetMeFree! What's on the agenda for today?
SetMeFree, the thing about the post office site is that I have been ordering from them for years. When you order and go to check out, a screen appears with two columns--one has all of your information already printed, the other has fields for you to send something to an alternate address. At the bottom of each column is a button that says "ship here". So, you can send things to your home or to somewhere else.
Yesterday I clicked the first column, with my preprinted address that they have used in the many, many mail orders I have already done. And the message at the top of the page said "invalid address, make sure you're including all information." Well, if the preprinted address is suddenly invalid, it's not my fault. And the only way to change it would be to change my profile information on another screen, which would be silly because it's the CORRECT address! So then I tried filling everything in in the second column and clicking that box, and the same "invalid" message came up. So I'm assuming it's a glitch.
I would try it again this morning, but I realized I never shut off my computer last night because I ran a virus scan overnight, so I might restart the computer and see if the glitch is gone. Now that I'm thinking more about this, I remember what happened last time--I ended up having to call in the order. But I know I have mail ordered stamps after that, so I don't remember how the problem was actually fixed. This makes me think restarting is a good idea, so I will do that later today. I want to get the Halloween stamps in time to use them for my Halloween cards!
I have mid-day walks today, but don't need to do anything afterward so I will have time to work this afternoon. I have about an hour and a half until I have to leave so I'll try to get something done this morning.
TO DO:
Clean up from breakfast Scoop litter pans Put dry dishes away from yesterday 10 minutes on books
