I got $11 back as things I bought last week are now on sale
Wait--how did you manage that?
After my last list I saw that the book site sent me a message in response to my request for help in finishing the sale of the $25 book. They said the usual things--clear cache, make sure you have cookies and Javascript enabled, try a different browser. They also asked me what error message I received, even though I said in my first message to them that I wasn't receiving any error message.
I did clear the cache and try a different browser, no luck. I tried to see if Javascript was enabled but the instruction I googled on how to do that didn't make sense, I couldn't find the menus they said to look at. But I don't know why either would be disabled, I didn't disable them.
I was just about to send a message back to them when I figured I would look one more time at the screen to make sure I wasn't missing any tiny error message. I went back to that final page and I noticed a phone number field that did not have an asterisk or any other indication that it was required. In one of my first tries I put the word none in there in case it needed something in the field. That didn't help, but there was NO error message saying "you have to fill in a valid phone number" or anything at all showing that it was the problem.
Well, this time I put the phone number in and it accepted the sale and let me print a label.
Now I have to decide if I want to spend my time writing them a message letting them know that the screen did not have a message telling me what the problem was.
That whole thing probably took half an hour. But since the book is worth $25 I guess it's worth it. Sure would have been nice if the site had worked properly the first time, though.
Anyway, I have the label and can now package up that book and get it out of the living room!

I just took my membership card to CS asked them to adjust the price. They do that. It was only a week or so.
I bought a huge pumpkin pie, I've eaten a decent amount of it already. I have no self control.
The microwave got cleaned. But I've been watching a TV show that B had on. Total time sucker. I got nothing done and the show was violent. Ugg.

I just can't believe they do that. Do other stores do that?
I'm eating dinner now, and will try to keep working on the LR. No word about the heat yet, it is now 43 outside!

Oust, I can't imagine that a regular store would do that, unless you brought back everything you bought and said you wanted to return it--then went to the shelves and bought it all over again this week when there's a sale. If you just bring a receipt in, it means you ate the food last week when you paid full price, so why would they give you your money back? Maybe Costco does it since the membership fee is so high and they want people to remain members.

This is turning out to be a good day--I'm getting difficult piles of things sorted, and letting some things go. I'm going to give myself half an hour more on the LR odds and ends before I finish up getting ready for bed.
