My folks arrive next week, Saturday I think. For the past year or so we've been renovating a room to be a new guest bedroom. It will not be ready in time. So I have other things that have to be done, in a limited space of time and around other commitments.
I am listing here things I shall have to find time to do.

Tidy dining room. My parents require a double bed to sleep in, and a spare bed... I can tidy the room, but cannot get the bed out until the wood flooring for the new guest bedroom is moved.
✅ Go through talk dining room cupboard. Tidy cupboard.
Sort mountains of receipts.
✅ Put crafting stuff in cupboard once there's space.
✅ Tidy away camping mats and sleeping bags.
✅ Take piles of leaves up to the compost pile at the back.
✅ Sweep up and remove more leaves, Fed up of waiting for ds to do it and the grass will be dying under the piles / leaves.
✅ Get ds to revise / learn stuff for his job interview on Monday.
✅ Sort clothes for ds for Monday.
✅ Make 3rd prototype for new business venture.
✅ Sort prototypes etc for business meeting on Friday.
✅ Sort outfit for Friday's business meeting.
✅ Tidy an area in the first stable that could be tidied and cleared more than it is.
✅ Go and recycle glass at the bottle bank.
✅ Sort boxes of snowboard gear.
✅ Take boxes up to the top floor.
Get dh to help put boxes in the attic.
✅ Tidy my side of the bed in our room.
✅ Tidy blanket box.
✅ Try to make more floor space around the fabric boxes.
✅ Try to make more space generally in our bedroom, floor.
✅ Put missing curtain hooks back in our bedroom curtains.
✅ Try to rearrange / tidy some of the stuff on dh's side of the bedroom that he never has time to tidy.
✅ Try to tidy and dust flat surfaces in our bedroom.
✅ Try to vacuum in our bedroom.
Tidy my sewing table / area.
✅ Sort bedding for 2 spare double beds.
✅ Sort guest towels.
✅ Tidy away box of other spare towels.
✅ Order birthday presents for my dad.
✅ Sort birthday presents for ds.
Finsh cleaning hot tub lids.
✅ Finish cleaning hot tub mats.
Pack hot tub away better.
Bottle elderberry gin.
Start some more sloe gin.
✅ Buy a curtain pole for the new guest bedroom.
✅ Source / buy curtains for new guest bedroom.
Adjust length of curtains - this floor is not as tall as the top floor so they'd be too long anyway, but also the radiator is in front of the window so they cannot cover that.
Finish sorting things to go to charity.
Take a drive to drop of charity donations.

It was supposed to be bottled on October 1st, and the sloes are taking up room in my freezer. Tbh I already have 4 bottles of sloe and most of a bottle of plum gin so I'm not in need as such!!! thanks for your support. X

Stuff is getting ticked off, albeit slowly.
Dd has been having a big sort out so there are more toys to go in the attic when we put the snowboard things up there. This weekend maybe?
She has also been sorting stuff to donate, and that's getting boxed up, I have a bag of clothes to give to a friend later as well.
Sadly this means there are more things to add to my original list...

Hmmmmn, getting behind on everything. Could really do without my days being so broken up. And today is no exception, had to take dd to school for 9.30, have a business lunch at 12.30. Struggling to achieve in such short bursts.
Plus it's raining again, and gloomy, which doesn't help my motivation.
Going to iron for a short while, then tidy away ironing board and tidy the sitting room some.

Thanks Yvette, doodles. Business lunch was good, and hopefully business art ear is now more realistic on target dates etc too!!! Of course this adds to my already over full timetable, sigh. And ds wants fetching from the school bus in the next village, cutting into my time again, double sigh. Ok, time to do stuff for 3 hours, the best run of time I'm going to get for a while by the las of things. |

Well this didn't all get done, but some more did.
Dd is in now in Germany for a fortnight, then when she comes back it's with a German girl to stay for 2 weeks. Their house is all modern, minimalist, hidden storage and light airy and tidy.
I have more stuff to add to my list...
