Hi *waves*
I'm Rose. I live in the UK. I guess I have joined because I am at the end of my tether and want to be around people who get it. Also any tips would be really handy too. I live in a static caravan with my partner. It is small. We have like 1.5 bedrooms, the 'half bedroom' is our 'junk/storage' room. Right now we have enough space for both of us to sit on the sofa, we have mostly enough space to get to the cooker, fridge and sink, and we can get into bed if we move things onto the floor. I know a lot of people have it worse but it's really affecting my mental health. Also our landlord is threatening us that if we don't make a significant change soon, then we have to leave. It doesn't matter to him that we are trying to make a difference, the way he sees it is "why isn't it done now if you have two pairs of hands?" I have physical and mental health issues which makes tidying, cleaning and decluttering difficult but I want to make a change. I don't want to be embarrassed of how we live. It's so depressing being in an environment like this. I know the answer is getting rid of stuff but I struggle with that haha.
I never know what to write in posts like this, it seems awkward. If you have any questions just shout!

teaandtoast - sounds like you have very little space to put anything! We're all struggling with some kind of situation here, and they're all different!

Welcome Rose 🙋 , small spaces are challenging for us clutter bugs, Sounds scary too with the landlord considering ending the tenancy, Many of us here have had to face the consequences of our out of control homes, and definitely get it..

Hi Rose! I'm live in.Virginia in the US, so is a static caravan the same thing as a travel trailer on a foundation? Its very difficult to organize things if you have too much stuff in a small space. Making space for what you use all the time, for clothes that fit and are in good condition, for pots and pans that you use most often, for furniture in good condition that is comfortable, all that helps. Is taking out trash a problem for you? Having a small trash can/ bin/ receptacle in every room helps me, makes it easier to dispose of trash right away, and all the trash gets emptied into outside container once a week or more often if needed. you might want to check out apartmenttherapy.com for ideas about functioning well in small spaces. Welcome! glad you are here!
