I love this idea!! I’m starting off with 10 minutes focusing on bed and Landry.

It was more like 17 minutes but I got the top part of my bed cleared, working on the bottom part now.

I've been using the 20-10 timer method too. It's surprising how much I can get done in 20 minutes. Woke up early this morning (surprise! that never happens) and started in.
Cleaned the kitchen: Dishwasher running Wiped down appliances and cabinets Cleaned the floor - REALLY cleaned it. Sat on my butt and scrubbed. Oven is on "self clean" cycle
Took the fan apart and cleaned it in the bathtub.... God it was gross!
Man... I'm pooped! Still have to take out garbage, go to pharmacy and run errands, then catch up on paperwork for job.
The rest of the house is still gross, but ya gotta start somewhere!

Well.... right back where I started. Everything is chaos. I try to be mindful about taking something out -- and putting it back. Doing just a little -- trying to achieve "normal" whatever that is, but I'm back where I started. Depression has been bad, feel like I'm circling the drain. Arthritis pain is constant and severe. Talked to my physician who added another medication to help with depression. It's hard to believe that a pill can pull me out of this dark place. It's 4:00 pm and I just crawled out of bed.
Oh well, another deep breath, another day. Just start all over I guess.
Forgive me if this post is on the wrong thread.... don't get the structure of the site yet.

Hi, jenonmyown . I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Your doctor would have told you that the pills will take time to work, I imagine. In the meantime you will need to believe that your mind and circumstances will be better. My sister-in-law told me that depression is a liar, and she's right (not original with her). Depression will try to tell you that this is endless, but it's not. OK. I'm going to try to guide you to a particular way to use this site and get more eyes on your posts. I'll try to be clear, but if you don't get it, ask a question, and I'll clarify. 1. Go to the Home page. Do you see that there are blue bars with titles extending across the page? The first one is Community Information, the second is General, and the third is Members Only. 2. Click on the first subtitle under Members Only. That is Squalor Discussion. 3. Now you are on the Squalor Discussion page, which lists a bunch of already existing threads. Ignore those. Look over to the right in the same blue bar that has the Squalor Discussion title. Click on Create Thread. 4. You should see Subject. In that box, type in a short question or quick statement of your problem. For example, Stuck in chaos, or How to persist when depressed? Now you can start typing the text just as you have been doing. When you're finished saying your bit, go to the bottom right and hit Create Thread. Good luck. There are many people here who have dealt with depression and anxiety. You'll find empathy and practical help.
