The guidelines for WIT are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. ☝️ - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable, you are in the right place! If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying 😢 - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away book 📚 - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post: Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's,or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM

ta da up, dressed, meds, went to older dds house to watch cutie grandchildren while she works from home. checked online for urgent work stuff called for med refill that will bevray tomorrow to do when home, start purge a thon activity by going thru crate of papers figure out dinner, maybe salad? tomato sandwiches? take out? get things organized to take to work tomorrow

A new WITing thread! Great job everyone. I'm feeling low and hope that I can get a few things done to help out future me since my house has gotten pretty messy over the past few days.
TA DA Made and ate healthy meals today Started to fold and put away dry laundry that is hanging everywhere Decided to see if WITing would help me get a few things done despite my mood
TO DO Fold and put away one piece of hanging dry laundry Take 1 dish downstairs to kitchen Put away 1 dry dish

TA DA put dishes away Washed another load of dishes Took recycling and compost to bins Packed work bag ( and then left it behind) Took 3 boxes of books, toys and bits and bobs to op shop that has just reopened Filled a small bag with rubbish and put in outdoor bin TO DO Put laundry away Go through clothes Contact friend

Good morning ausmel and joyinvirginia!! Great job on getting to work on time and doing all those dishes!! My anxiety level is high today, Im pretty sure I know the trigger but I have to get through the work day. I am so grateful that I am working from home right now! I find the anxiety much easier to cope with when I am working from home than when I have to go to the office!! anyway, went for a walk (almost 2 miles!!) drank some coffee got to work on time, even though I am still in my pj's! (ah, the joys of working from home!!) eat breakfast get makeup on for zoom meeting at 11:00 make my bed

Hi WITty peeps. Ta-da: Fed cats/fat cat meds Ate breakfast/coffee Washed some dishes Bath/got dressed Checked work email To-do: Move suv around to back door Purge fridge Put bags of trash and dirty cat litter in back of suv Move suv around front Put old planters/dead plants in back of suv Take trash to landfill Let go of perfection thoughts (taking just a few bags is okay, something is better than nothing) Clean/disinfect 2 window AC units. Tomorrow it's going to be horrible (hot). Zoom work mtg Create oasis in bedroom. More later.
