Well here it is. The last week in July. When I realize summer is almost over and I look back at all the things I wanted to do and didnt. I sat outside last night and now I have a mosquito bite on my cheek - an itchy one.
So far the aides are working out well. It gives me a reprieve to be able to work undisturbed and go home to feed and play with Cali.
I got the iron put away but not the ironing board. I can't figure out how to collapse it. I washed a load of laundry and now I need to put it away. I am going to weed out the clothes that are ridiculously big on me
OK - time for work

Good morning everypony! Happy Monday!
ohblondie I can relate to your disappointment. so I try to remind myself we are in a pandemic, etc etc and so my plans were perhaps not realistic. when you add the giant changes in your personal family life... I think how much you HAVE accomplished AND coped with is downright amazing!!!
I set my glowy thing to tell me "Its time to go to bed" and it kinda worked! I adjusted more settings to block my apps from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Need to tweak this, but its a start. If I spent the time on my glowy thing investing in study instead, I could accomplish much!
DONE: caffeinate play with kitteh check online balance update spreadsheet set up August spreadsheet
NEXT UP: MLPM

Good morning ohblondie, scholar, PS and bree!
I had hoped for cooling rain last night, but we only got a few minutes of drizzle just as I was falling asleep. Then this morning we got another 15 minutes of light rain, which only made things more humid and gross. The prediction for today is mid-80s, but if this humidity doesn't go away it will feel a lot hotter. 2 of the 4 weather stations are saying closer to 80 by the end of the week, I hope they are correct.
I ended up going to library this morning to pick up the book I had waiting for me, I was thinking that I had a while before I finished the book I'm reading by the same author, but I forgot about the 3 day wait I am doing before starting to read any book from the library, since that supposedly is the time it takes for any virus to die on a surface like a book. I will finish the current book in a couple of days so would like to have this other one ready. I didn't stay too long in the library because just walking over there in the horrible humidity affected my breathing, so I didn't want to wander around for a long time wearing a mask. However, in a quick perusal of the new book shelves, I found one I might like and one my sister might like, so I took those out too.
I came home and rested for a few minutes, now I have to start working on some lists in between my frequent rest periods.
TO DO:
Feed dog Bring some bags of construction debris from basement to dumpster Clean up after breakfasts 10 minutes on plants

Bree, how is it working from home? It seems like it would be hard to stay on work tasks when you can just jump and do whatever you need to do in your home, but then is it hard to get your work done? I'm thinking it's a big adjustment to balance things.

I set my glowy thing to tell me "Its time to go to bed" and it kinda worked! I adjusted more settings to block my apps from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. I love giving myself alerts. I don't seem to need it anymore, but my best use of this used to be pajama time music. I didn't have to go to bed, I just had to get ready. What had been happening was that time would pass as I was on the computer, and then I was "too tired" and too cold to get up and change out of jeans into pajamas, even though I really wanted to go to bed. These days, my most important alert is the one for washing and getting dressed. Nothing really happens here until I have daytime clothes on. Which reminds me--my alert did go off recently... Good luck with the circadian regulation!
