For the past week, I've had spotty WiFi or, when I have it, don't want to leave my work-groove. So I'm going to check in once a day and list major accomplishments.

Yesterday: Packed up a box of donations, which joined another in the car. Used grocery bags to collect trash, tossing as I went. Put in a stop-mail request.
TODAY: Took two boxes to the donation site - what a line! Washed/waxed car for the trip.

I'm at a cabin in the woods, which has been great for relaxing and living with only necessities. I'll head home tomorrow and have company a couple more days. So here's my list of ideas for my return to normal:
This one-bedroom cabin has enough cookware, plates and utensils to keep a family fed. Fancy is not necessary. Putting things away every night makes it easier to get going in the morning. If figure out meals days in advance, I won't overbuy and waste food. When I packed, I chose the best and left the rest; what I left aren't my favorites. I should really choose a theme and accent color for decor; the cabin looks great even though it's furnished with other people's cast-offs.

You have a cabin guru! What a lovely retreat you had. (I know you were working, but still-- you got to do your living with only the essentials.)

goldenthreads "cabin guru" - I like that very much and shared it with my cabinmates. It's not the end of the day yet, but I may not want to tempt Fate by going online later. Here's today's list: · Picked up sticks, mowed, weeded, refilled birdbath, and the basic garden routine. · Washed the vacation clothes, the bag in which shampoo leaked, and the laundry bag · Paid the bills that arrived while I was away · Created a "bullet journal" of sorts for checking and savings accounts, since having random ledgers and statement folders is NOT working. Bonus: I used a cute little journal (flowers and butterflies galore) that I already owned. · Scanned old papers into PDF form and emailed them to myself. If they all came through, I will reduce the paper clutter by a LOT.

· Scanned even MORE papers into PDF form and threw them out, filling half a regular-sized garbage bag and a couple grocery bags. · Put away all clothes and suitcases

Yay! Progress in the last two days:
1. Mailed out the package 2. Called back a friend 3. Almost done with dreadful online training (1/3 telling how great the software is, 1/3 instructions, 1/3 persuasion to move all contacts etc. to Google's conglomerate) 4. Took care of medical-related stuff, as best I could.
