Good morning, guys and dolls! It's one of those days, I think.
TA-DAH 1. Dressed and coffeed 2. Weighed myself (boo!) 3. Read through the online course I have to complete this coming week (also boo!)
TO DO I'm staying home today, mostly because I can feel the urge to go on a meandering errand that takes hours and improves nothing. 😉 1. Set up stereo system with music and/or audiobooks to cheer me on. 2. Put on socks and shoes 3. Set up the two boxes, one bag system in the soon-to-be-useful office

doodles, Thank you for the reminders: I needed to be reminded of this today. missjean, Thanks for the reminder of the music!!! It's much too quiet in this house! Life has been busy lately, and it seems that I haven't been sleeping consistently lately. (Some nights I sleep fine, but other nights I toss and turn for hours.) I need to build some routine back into my life. ta-da's: Ate a healthy breakfast and loaded the dishwasher My online classes start on Monday. I was able to log into one of them and see what at least some of the requirements are. Fed chickens collected 1 egg... to-do's: Work on developing a schedule that has some flexibility to it. (I did used to have this a few years back, and I thought it worked fairly well. but I just can't seem to get back on track.) Choose an area to clean up and at least start?!? 5 minutes, come back and post. Clean out chicken coop. There's lots of poop in the chicken coop. Start the dishwasher

ta'da's: Added a few more items to the dishwasher and started it. Spent about 15 minutes folding and putting away clean laundry. Added some of the old items to the box of rags. (Textiles are a weakness of mine.) to-do: Look for my old master list and see if I can adapt it for now. Clean up another area Weed whack or clean chicken coop, or work on a long neglected quilt project (I figured i'd give myself one "fun" option) ETA: I found my old master list. I think I made it before I started working on my degree again, because it doesn't include study times, but it looks like a good list. I'm using an old computer that is on it's last leg. I need to copy important files to a flash drive, or back them up elsewhere. I just realized that many files won't even open anymore.

Good Morning! DH went out to get breakfast for us at a NY bagel place our friends like. They are from NY so they should know if it is good. While waiting for him to get back I should do something: 1) start to get cleaned up 2) unload the dishwasher 3) put out stuff for some baking this afternoon

1) start to get cleaned up took my meds 2) unload the dishwasher 3) put out stuff for some baking this afternoon DH came back. Breakfast sandwich was good. They had black and whites which weren't perfect but closer than anywhere else we tried. Such a NY thing and really hard to get a decent one. Bonus - started some laundry and put away all the dishes drying on the counter from last night. 1) finish getting cleaned up 2) laundry shift 3) figure out "big"project for the day.

1. Set up stereo system 2. Put on socks and shoes 3. Set up the box system in the hallway, since there wasn't enough space in the room itself. 4. Put water in birdbath and watered front potted plants 5. Cleaned off lower shelves a "sofa table" that stands against a wall near the front door and is the dumping ground for everything; the dust was like FUR 😩 🤧 6. Dry mopped the hallway, parts of the floor, and baseboards 7. Shredded 8. Put the "Work & Credentials" 3-ring binder in the guestroom as I uncover up-to-date paperwork. 9. Wiped fridge and kitchen scale with wipes I uncovered.
In case you can't tell, the "office" is where I dumped clutter in an effort to keep the dining/living/kitchen room a clear place for working from home. I will "waste" a vented n95 mask that I usually use gardening. The dust is unbelievable.
TO DO 1. Water the garden (squash are drooping) 2. More office sorting 3. Put air cleaner in the hallway to combat whatever gets kicked up

1) finish getting cleaned up 2) laundry shift 3) figure out "big"project for the day. I think I'm going to work on the basement . I've been wanting to set up an exercise system down there for :mumble mumble mumble" many months. I have stuff to unpack and a lamp to put together. My basement isn't "horrid". It is mostly memorabilia storage which I'm not touching. . Going to see how much work I can do on all the rest of it today (and tomorrow) and so on.... 1) call a friend - long overdue 2) laundry switch 3) start project in basement - first tiny step is putting away the stuff that is sitting in a big bin - maybe load up the bin with donations and stuff that belongs upstairs.

ta-da's: Went for a walk Emptied the dishwasher Started a load of laundry Bonus: made 2 quilt blocks for a scrappy quilt I've been planning to make for a long time I made 4 blocks a few years back, but then stopped. I think I was making it more complicated than it had to be, trying to get seams to line up and nest, etc. It's supposed to be scrappy and I was wanting to much perfection. I am trying to alternate light and dark fabrics to a certain extent, but not perfectly. I've been inspired to make another project, maybe a wall hanging on these same design, so I'm happy about this. 2nd bonus, fed sourdough, and am using the "discard" to make a pizza crust.
to-do: Move laundry to dryer Shape pizza crust and bake pizza Put away clothes and towels.

Used to live in the Bay Area - that smokey air is no joke. Not to mention - we didn't have central AC or decent windows - felt like someone was smoking in our kitchen. Prayers for you all. 1) call a friend - long overdue 2) laundry switch 3) start project in basement - first tiny step is putting away the stuff that is sitting in a big bin - maybe load up the bin with donations and stuff that belongs upstairs. L/M for friend. Last load of clothes in the dryer. Started the linens. Haven't gone to the basement yet - made lunch, cleaned up from lunch. Made two loaves of banana bread - in oven now so won't go in the basement for extended time while oven is on. 1) laundry switch 2) PEEP 3) make up master bedroom
